A Superb Place to Stay in San Miguel
I can't say enough nice things about Casa Schuck. This place was simply wonderful. It's a beautiful bed & breakfast ("urban hacienda") situated 5 minutes from the central square in San Miguel de Allende. It's minutes from all of the major central town locations. We were greeted by the friendliest hosts and given the tour of the 8-10 bedroom B&B. Each room is decorated differently, and there's a central courtyard with a lovely public "living room" space and dining space located next to it. We stayed in El Sol, which had a small pool located just outside of it. The room was very comfortable and clean.
We loved it. Breakfast was cooked and served (to order) each morning accompanied by freshly baked bread, fruit, and coffee/tea/orange juice. There was one morning when we had to leave a little before the official breakfast time to go on a tour, and Gabriel was able to ask the morning cook to come in a few minutes early and prepare a hot meal for us. That was just above and beyond and is a reflection of the kind off outstanding hospitality offered at Casa Schuck. I can't recommend this place highly enough. We will definitely stay there again the next time we visit San Miguel.
