Excellent review for Hotel Somerset Male, Maldives
The services were excellent. The staff was friendly and went out of the way to be helpful. The restaurant has very good food at reasonable prices. We essentially loved the breakfast. The room was comfortable and clean. There are too many light switches hidden at unusually places making turning the lights on and off challenging. The towels rack in the bathroom is too high and not useable. It would be better to have a short divider to prevent water from the shower area spill to the rest of the washroom.

Mediocre with false advertising
I don't appreciate false advertising. When you advertise a fitness centre be sure to actually have 1. Not 1 a block away from the hotel. Air condition needs some serious attention. The staff tried hard to be helpful. Management need to pay more attention to detail.

Nearly Perfect!
Everything was great! Location was awesome. Nearly everything was within minutes by walk. Service was good, although there were a few times we had to remind them. Quality of the hotel was superb. Only thing we were unhappy about was that the bathroom had a leak and the hot water would run out in about 5 minutes, so we would have to take a very quick shower. Note that the gym is actually off-site and you will need indoor gym shoes.

Perfect for short stays. Cosy little gem.
The staff and customer service was amazing. The room was small but perfect for a business trip or short stay. We arrived late in the afternoon and it was Ramadan so nothing was open until after 8.30pm. We tried to eat in the hotel restaurant but they had a private funtion so we then tried to order room service but was told the kitchen was busy until after 7.00pm with the function. We understood but perhaps should of been given another option as we were starving. When we finally did get room service the food was delicious. We had a very early check out so the hotel arranged take away breakfast for us and a hotel rep even escorted us to the airport in the taxi. Male itself isn't the nicest area but the hotel is lovely and we felt safe and comfortable.
