Used to be better

I have been staying at Chulia Mansion multiple times since 2 years ago, and my recent stay in Jul 2019 is worse than before. 1. Water from the shower is super slow and the water heater temperature is not adjustable 2. dirty floor when check into the room 3. Shampoo and shower gel dispenser is not refilled daily despite its empty already

Sangat menyenangkan

Menginap 4 malam di hotel ini sangat menyenangkan. letak hotel yang strategis dapat ditempuh dengan bus 401 dari penang airport. Sarapan cukup lengkap dan enak, kopi dan tersedia setiap saat dan pada malam hari setelah jam 6 sore ada minuman gratis di rooftop.

Secara keseluruhan cukup baik tetapi sayangnya bagi yang pada bagi hari tidak bisa menikmati breakfast karena harus medical check up, tidak diizinkan membawa breakfast dari hotel walaupun hanya sebungkus nasi saja yang ada di menu breakfast pagi itu. Ini menurut saya tidak fair, jadi breakfast yang kami bayar mubazir dan hotel menikmati keuntungan berganda !

The breakfast has been diminished because of 5he virus situation. I was prepared for it to be bad, BUT IT IS QUITE ADEQUATE. THEY ARE STILL DOING A GOOD JOB.

Excellent location,good breakfast, plus free tea, coffee and cookies all day, with a free glass of wine and Ice cream in the roof top bar in the evening. Sadly the lift was out of order for part of our stay. Staff happily carried out heavy suitcases down for us, so not really a problem.

The rooms were very spacious and had comfortable beds. The only issue was that the glass in the windows were not very soundproof and since we were right over Chulia street and next to a mosque, it did get a bit loud, but nothing that impacted our sleep too significantly. There was free ice cream which you can enjoy over the nice rooftop area. We were spoilt for choice at the breakfast buffet and it was a great way to start the day. Overall, it's a great stay in a central location.

Good hotel - worth the stay

We just had a night and really it wasn't enough. Check-In was basic with no fuss. We arrived an hr early but was told room wasn't ready and had to wait till 2pm. No worries there. Our room was suitable enough for 2 on a short stay. It was clean, tidy and with all the usual amenities. The buffet breakfast was good and quite filling with many East and West dishes. Hotel's location was spot on with lots of small shops and full stalls all around- also a number of pubs n clubs all in walking distance. My only gripe was reception staff were less then friendly and came across with a not interested attitude. But I think that's subjective. Dinning and rooftop staff though were great!! Overall we enjoyed our short stay. It's a good hotel and recommended.

Great place to stay in Penang!!! Location was perfect. By Love Lane, night food stalls and on the bus route. The hotel was great; nice staff, quiet, comfortable and feee ice cream and wine!!!! Who does that??!!! We enjoyed our stay.

因升降機會發出嘈音，千萬不要接受01號的房間，除非你需嘈音才睡到。 因嘈音而睡不著，影響精神。要求調房間，因房滿而於第二晚才可換，但冷氣又不凍，又弄一段時間才可睡。 早餐選擇頗多和豐富，要給贊。 清晨5時多到機場，無Grab回應，問Reception可否幫忙叫車，又是無辦法。

Nothing special, location is the biggest asset

The location of the hotel is very good! Close to many places to eat and drink. The hotel had a nice rooftop that we had a drink at each night, which had a nice view. The staff were not so friendly and didn't seem to care about making our stay comfortable. There was an odd yellow and dripping stain on the wall by the bed and when we brought this to the attention of the girl at the front desk, she quickly cut me off and said she'd send the cleaning crew. They came to look at it, but never actually cleaned it or offered us any type of resolution. We were next to something which made noises all night. It sounded like someone was constantly hanging and rehanging clothes on a rack ALL night, each night we stayed. The location was great, but the hotel was average with less than impressive customer servuce.

Prima hotel, maar geen luxe

Lekker centraal gelegen; dat is het grootste pluspunt. Personeel is verlegen, doet alleen het strikt noodzakelijk. Hotel wordt naar ons idee vooral gebruikt door Chinese toeristen, dat is prima, maar dat zie je terug aan het ontbijt dat vooral Aziatisch is georiënteerd. Er is wel veel keuze, maar ik heb beter gehad. De douche is een slap straaltje. Bedden zijn prima, kamer netjes. Jammer dat er zijl op de vloer ligt ipv laminaat, want dat doet afbreuk aan de kamer. We zaten naast een moskee, maar de ramen zijn zeer goed geïsoleerd en we hebben de gebedsoproepen nooit gehoord.
