Great location. Enjoyed staying on the ground floor near the courtyard last week. Breakfast was just ok but nice not having to go out in the morning. No coffee, tea or microwave in room. Returned for one night before leaving for airport but this run was dark and dirty floor. Changed rooms to second floor but that room had no towels, room not finished being cleaned. Breakfast was weak.

It was a fine place in a good location…BUT they are building a massive hotel next. Door and construction was loud starting at 7am. Hard to use that courtyard. They are just beginning construction. I feel bad for this hotel. Staff was great, rooms clean

Just a head's up - if you stay within the next year or so, there is ongoing construction that starts at 7a. The hotel may warn others about this, but they didn't tell us.

Det borde kunna vara ett trevligt hotell men det var många problem. Bygger på tomten intill pågick med mycket hög ljudnivå mellan 07.00 - 16.00. AC blåste som en tornado varje halvtimme och lät även som en tornado. Hotellet har 50-60 rum men endast ca 25 sittplatser i lobbyn för frukost. Mycket svårt att få sittplats då många sitter kvar länge i väntan på planerade utflykter. Trist frukost i alla fall för européer.

Hotel muito bem localizado, quarto bom. Infelizmente está literalmente ao lado de um grande empreendimento hoteleiro a ser construído que possivelmente ira afetar drasticamente as condições de hospedagem!

A lovely historic inn. Trough no fault of their own the resort next door was being demolished with machinery working from 7-4:00 Mon.-Fri. It limited drop off and puck up spaces. Parking in charkeston is always at a premium They offered a parking lot 2 blocks away for$ 20 a day or valet parking gor $45 Offered a fine breakfast ,wine and cheese from 4-6:00 and coomies at 8:00

Property next door was under demolition so the noise and dirt were terrible. Bathroom in room 215 was not very nice. Shower flooded floor and toilet was too close to the shower. Air conditioner was very loud. Breakfast was okay but no meat. Staff was very kind and when we decided to leave early we were promptly refunded. I would not recommend until construction of new neighboring hotel is complete.

The hotel is in a great location; however, there was major demolition construction directly next door and so it was very noisy from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. Since it was chilly, no one was sitting outside, but they had propane heaters that they did not light so we all jammed into the lobby for the wine and cheese hour. I asked about this and they had no real answer. We have stayed here before and it is not the same. They should upgrade their linens, the fitted sheet did not stay in place during the night and was very thin. The bed did not have a mattress pad on the bed either. The continental breakfast was nice as well as the wine and cheese hour.
