It is a great place to stay. The room was not spacious, but it was clean and cozy. Everything that should work did work well, including hairdryer, fridge, microwave, and the heater.
One thing that could be better is that there was only one switch for both the light and fan in the bathroom, and I wish there were separate switches.
Their complementary breakfast was very decent. They currently also provided free ice cream token. (They mentioned a lot of interesting and free stuff in the photos/ paintings on the corridor, but not all of them were still available.) They had water fountain, which is a big plus to us.
The view of the river is fantastic, especially after dinner when we were enjoying the ice cream.
There is one thing worth noting. We specifically chose this hotel because it provides wake-up calls for aurora. However, during our 8-night stay we did not get any call. It is the end of the season. We woke up by ourselves around 2am a few nights, and we could see the (faint) aurora. However, it did not last very long each time. I guess there was a threshold in the brightness and the strength of the aurora for the hotel to decide to call us; otherwise, people would be disappointed after they dress up, get downstairs, and find no aurora? Anyway, we found the best place to view the aurora was near the cabin region during our stays, which is literally outside the building.
