Very clean house, decorated nicely with comfortable beds, big t.v., plenty of seating house and deck, nice bathroom, nice kitchen. Only thing missing was washer/ dryer (go to Gassville, has nice laundry mat.

I'll be back. There could never be better hosts anywhere. John and Michele made sure we had everything we needed and then some. The house was very clean and comfortable. It was very quiet and peaceful and the perfect place to relax. I could go on and on about this wonderful place and John and Michele.

The property is in a rural area but convenient to the highway. It's a lovely home, nice and extremely clean, and in a quiet setting. Everything inside was easy to find and we felt very cozy and comfortable staying there. Our hosts, John and Michelle, kept in touch and were very friendly and welcoming. My family and I will definitely be staying there again, we had a relaxing stay. I highly recommend this property.

Host were easy to contact, always available, and treated us like we paid for VIP services. This was a fantastic find! When we arrived at the guest house we were greeted and given tour of property. We were given a list of all the things to do in the area, events taking place while we were there, and even a little history of the town and area. The guest house was very clean and the property is beautiful. I would recommend this place to anyone and will definitely be returning. Thanks again!

I almost want to downplay this review to keep it to myself! However, this is a hidden treasure! You want calm, country, close to river and lake fishing, areas for hiking, it's all right here! I'll be honest the owners are on site and that was a little anxious at first; but they are the most gracious people we've ever met. We departed today not wanting to leave, not wanting to say goodbye, not wanting to go back to the hustle and bustle of life. We went there to get away, to leave it all behind at least for a little bit and ended up finding good friends in John and Michele, a fantastic place to stay, and excellent fishing! We never felt like we were in a staged furniture rental property...we were in a home full of warmth and love. For those of us that have stayed here, I'm sorry to leave such a good review for the fear that we won't be able to get back. However, John and Michele deserve to meet others and share such a fine experience. If you don't like your stay here, you're not doing it right! We will definitely return! Thank you for everything! The White River Retreat(WRT) was the perfect location and size for our needs. We are a group of 5 men who were on a guided fishing trip with Cotter Trout Dock. The cabin was less than five minutes from our destination. John and Michelle greeted us and set up an air mattress as we had an additional person from the original plan. They were welcoming and friendly and offered their hospitality. The house was comfortable and quiet. The 2 king-sized beds were comfortable. The homemade cookies were delicious. It is off the beaten path but easy to find. The WRT is a great stay for a fishing trip or just an escape to a quiet place. I give my highest recommendation. Clint Long

This is a great property with plenty of space to spread out. The property owners greeted us when we arrived, checked in with us while we were there, and even came out to say goodbye when we left. They even had homemade cookies on the counter and water in the fridge for us when we arrived. We believe they went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay. We came on our motorcycles for two days of riding the twisty turny roads in the area and we were not disappointed. There are many options in every direction. We will definitely be back.
