Best hostel ever!
The wohngemeinschaft Hostel was great! Great location, nice people and they upgraded me to a double room for free as they had some left free - at the time of my stay I had a terrible migraine so it was amazing turn of events! Would definitely recommend the hostel, breakfast, bar!

Overall, great hostel. I would definitely stay there again. The only downside is that the rooms were very warm and we couldn't open the windows all the way. Plus, it's on a busy street and it was pretty loud until about 3am. Other than that, we loved it! Clean rooms, clean showers, clean toilets, friendly staff

The room was great and the staff is very nice. Too bad it doesn't have an ensuite bathroom. Shared bathroom was not clean and the shower was clogged.

The room was very cool, each room had its own theme which was fun. Parking around there is a bit tough, but the hostel amenities were definitely nice.

Spectacular hostel experience with messy check-in
I have never slept on a hostel bed as wide as the one here! Every single room in this hostel is themed, and my 6-bed dorm was concert backstage, which was pretty interesting. However, I was shocked at what may be an European king sized bed! Sleep was of course very well here. Housing the super wide bed is an impressively tall and wide cubicle, so it feels like a mini room despite being in a dorm room. The room itself is very clean, and so is everywhere else in the hostel like the shower. My only complaint was that late check-in (past 11 PM) was a mess, because I had to squeeze through the crowd with my luggage to get a bartender's attention at the hostel bar and was then led to the wrong bed, leading to an awkward encounter with the occupant. However, this is a small hassle compared to the wonderful overall experience of the hostel! Being close to Rudolfplatz station, this hostel makes a comfortable, convenient base to explore Cologne and further afield!
