Peaceful Ubud Valley respite
Ubud Valley Boutique Resort has excellent service and an extremely peaceful and relaxing and quiet environment and location.
We loved having the private infinity pool overlooking the jungle and the large and comfortable bedroom, bathroom, and porch.
We tried dinner in the restaurant, but quickly realized that nearly everyone else was eating in their villa. Taking breakfast and dinner in large dining table on our private villa's porch was a lovely and memorable experience. We took complimentary western breakfasts which were yummy and extensive including choice of hot and cold drinks, pastry basket, fruit plate, and main breakfast entree. For dinner, we mostly ordered from the Indonesian cuisine selections, and they were all delicious, especially the chicken soup and whole roasted fish.
The spa was excellent service and worth a visit for a massage or other treatment. All the rest of the staff was so friendly and welcoming and responsive to our requests and questions. I loved that we were walking around the grounds after returning from a day trip and all the staff we met asked us how our trip was.
The location is remote, so keep in mind that it will take a bit of a drive to get to center of Ubud, but there is a shuttle bus available that has scheduled trips between Ubud and the hotel 3 times in the afternoon and evening.
