Halfway stop from a cruise to home. Mediocre stay
When we originally attempted to “check in” as we were getting into town (approx 1pm) we walked into the hotel and the front desk female clerk, blew in our face like we were a “problem” to her. We asked about availability and she told us that she could not tell us if they had any availability as they were not able to see that until housekeeping puts in the “clean rooms”. So we would have to come back at 3pm to see if there was Availability - which she stated was check in time anyways. We left, got on hotels.com and booked directly through them immediately with no issue. We checked in at 3pm and the new front desk clerk was extremely nice, friendly and helpful. The only other issue we had during the stay was that my husband has a feather allergy. We usually are able to acquire foam pillows at any other hotel; however, when I called down to housekeeping as well as the front desk we were told that they do not have those. I explained that it was an allergy issue and not a preference but they could not help. We then had to uber to Walmart and buy our own pillows to sleep with. (An opinion would be to get this as an option for people like my husband who cannot be near them).
