First off if you book on hotels.com please make sure you include the correct amount of people. I never had to distinguish that but here they charge me $20 an extra person fee. Even though the Room slept for. So that’s just greed also the manager that was on duty 5//18/25 was a Karen with a resting witch face. Check-in was so slow. I’m assuming the guy did not know what he was doing. He didn’t have any key cards. He said he had to go get some, but then he came back with the manager to look over what he was trying to do. Why would he be there without any help it literally took over half an hour to check in when I was the only one in line. They charge you $150 Per day incidental fee, which is crazy. My opinion and I live here. There are four better places that you could stay at that won’t nickel and dime you.

Hotel is located on the beautiful white beach in Clearwater. The staff was great as well as the food. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Valet service was good. We would return to this location.

Everything about the resort was great and as advertised! We especially enjoyed the restaurant, which was excellent and very reasonably priced. Drinks were fun, beach was comfy with lots to watch go by. Our warning: The outdoor music comes from a stage pavilion that faces the hotel! Do NOT expect to go to bed before the music is over. On Saturday, that means 2am. The resort caters to late night partying. If that's not your thing, get a room on the other side of the hotel and you will be fine.

We stayed from Saturday to Saturday. Checking in Saturday afternoon I had flashbacks to college spring break and it continued into the early morning hours as the club bass was vibrating through the room. Things settled down after that and we were able to run the AC more for white noise and believe the club was only Saturday night. Restaurant was good, pool was nice, beach was full of shells and didn’t connect to the main Clearwater beach. Jet ski rentals on site were great and we saw dolphins while out on them. Friday night they required wristbands to access the beach area. Not sure what nights this happens but again seems like a college spring break thing and not necessary for families. For a family of four, it was generally a nice time.

The beach was pathetic-tiny, high prices for chairs & umbrellas, music was deafening. We went to public beach for a much better experience. The only reason we chose Shepherd was that it was on the beach.

Night club from 10-2am. Have two young kids they decided to put us in a room right above the place shaking up every thing in the place. If you want an Earthquake when you sleep .. this is the place for you!

This was our third stay here. Overall the room was ok but a little outdated. My main issue is atmosphere. It has become full on party mode. Pool party atmosphere, not very family friendly. Also the night club on site makes for a less than restful nights sleep. Around 3 am, the night club crowd spilled out to the front of the resort. Lots of yelling, a few arguments and just drunk people doing their thing.

Great place other than the night club that doesn’t shut down until 3 AM the weekends. Also advised the front desk that we had water leaking on the floor from an adjacent room and nothing was ever looked into. Overall it was a convenient place and might stay again

Quick 2 night trip, was able to check in a little early which was awesome. Price was great, loved the convenience of the beach and the resort feel and location. Rooms were a nice size and clean. The view from the room was exciting during the day, but at night the room over the pool was right in the middle of the dj and band, which went on very loudly until way past midnight. We were told about this when we checked in, but it was still hard to fall asleep. I would stay here again, but maybe ask for another room location to see if that helps.
