I will not go to this hotel again. The pool was out of service due to an accident that happened back in May. I spent all this money to use the pool and go to the beach and I wasn’t able to use the pool the stove burners raw crooked messed up on the stove. The TV didn’t work. There was a roach in my room I’m hoping to get some type of credit next time I book from hotels.com

I am thoroughly disappointed with my last visit with Sandcastle this year. I have been coming to visit the Sandcastle the past eight years and this year was my first year that the entire experience was awful. For starters when we arrived, the service people weren’t helpful with assisting us to find a loading cart to load our luggage. When asked about the carts. The service lady shrugged her shoulders and said she didn’t know where any were. That I would have to check each floor to find one. UNBELIEVABLE! When asked if our room had pots and pans, we were told that they didn’t have any available. Therefore, we went without pots and pans in our kitchenette for the first two days of our stay. To make matters worse, once we arrived we were ready to enjoy and relax by the pool after our long drive, only to realize that the inside and outside pools were closed as well as the Jacuzzi. The pools and Jacuzzi were closed for our entire stay. Our kids were pretty upset about it. Staff didn’t seem really helpful and the Hotel experience seems to have gone down the past two years. I am not sure if I would stay back at the Sandcastle unfortunately after my eight year stay each summer. I hope this review helps and I hope that this review help Sandcastle and staff correct these errors and keep guests coming back. My family have loved coming to Sandcastle the years and we would hate for these minor issues to prevent us from coming back any further. Thank you.

Door was terrible to try to get in to, tv screen was busted, microwave was broken, fridge shelves were broken, linens were stained, pool was closed during our stay with no notice given, only 1 working ice machine for the whole hotel, hotel employees smoking weed on premises.

The beds are comfortable, however the A/C leaked into the floor of the room, the bathtub didnt drain properly (due to sand but still) we had a room with a kitchenette and the website said they provided cookware and utensils- i asked for these at check in, and was told thy would bring them up. When no one brought it up after 3 hours i went back down and when i asked this time i was told when theyre at capacity they dont have enough totes. Even tho i asked when i checked in, they had no record of that!!! Every one of the pools were closed, staff didnt know when theyd be open. and the restaurant advertised is not open.

We loved the hotel. The check in staff were great. None of the pools ,hottubs,lazy river ,pool bar or restaurant was opened. That was fine because was told that the hotel amenities fee wont be charged. But upon check out when i asked for a copy of my bill i was being charged one day of amenities fees and they were charging me more a day to stay than i was soppesed to pay. They said they would refund my 25.00 amenities fee but it will take like 5- 7 days. That is fine. I will be keeping check of my account. As for the over charge on the room which is about 65.00 total over charge they said there was nothing they could do. I said i wanted to talk to a manager and they said that there was no manager on site. This is very upsetting 😡 and the pools have been out of order for a while now from the reviews i just looked at. I had reserved this place back in may. You would figure that they would give you a courtesy message or call to let you know that the things that attract you to there hotel arent available for our stay.

The workers were great for the most part ! Hotel doesnt look like the pitctures . Need some up dating and some fixing of stuff . The pools were down the whole time they keep saying tomarrow , tomarrow , and dont take some off your bill . No bar no food . You pay resort fee and you get your own towls and clean your own stuff.... only perk was it is right on the ocean !

Booked it for the hotel bar and both pools and hot tubs inside and out. None of them were open, nor was I informed that they were shut down. Asked for room service, which took forever to get. The staff seemed a little rude. If I had known all the items I booked it for, as mentioned above, were closed, I would have booked somewhere else because I could have gotten cheaper for what we were offered. I was hoping for some sort of discount or money back, but overall I still had a good time with my girlfriend.

First arrived and our room was not clean. Moved us to another room and it was even worse. The pool and lazy river was shut down our entire stay. They never once came by our room and asked if we needed anything. The bar and grill in our hotel was closed the entire stay. The hotel is ran down and nasty. Do not recommend to anyone!

Definitely wouldn’t recommend this hotel at all to others, all the pools were close the entire time we stayed and still charged us a $25 fee to access things, the pool bar were close entire time as well, I was told I will get a refund back on that and haven’t received it yet, my kids slept in their pullout bed and woke the next day with bumps all over them, they seem like didn’t care when I mentioned it to them and kept telling me the manager wasn’t in and didn’t know when he was going to be in, I wanted my money back and of course they offered me another room instead of my money back.

First room has mold and other room still had but not as much. Also room next to us that seemed to have permanent guest smoke weed every hour on hour and it would cause my room to smell like it and we couldn’t enjoy patio because of smell. Also same guest would smoke in the patio area where kids are playing in pool and families trying to seat and enjoy but couldn’t because of foul smell. Location great and staff but due to mold throughout building and smoking will not return.

It was ok. Not a top resort but not the bottom either. Only real issue was that our room was not ready at check-in time. Waited until 530 and they had to end up giving us a different room bc it still wasn't ready. Not a good start when we drove 10 hours to get there and timed it so we would get there at the scheduled check-in time. Other than that everything was ok.
