Lack of care/not safe
Woke up my first morning there and realized when going to breakfast that the automatic lock on the door was not engaging when shutting the door. Anyone could open it without a key (no way to lock it). I asked to immediately change rooms and I was put in a room with a queen when I had paid for a king. Two more times on the trip I came back from a day out or left to go to breakfast and the door wasn’t locked or wouldn’t lock automatically when shutting it (didn’t need my key to get in). Thankfully no one took my things or came in my room but as a female I did NOT feel safe that their door locks are faulty. Two rooms doing that tells me it’s a problem with their lock system. I’ve stayed at the hotel for 15 years on business trips but it’s time to find a new one that keeps things upgraded and safe. Have to ask to get a fridge in the room (this should be standard). TVs are difficult to use. Also had room service ask to take my card with him because he forgot the machine and he’d bring it back, which I declined and so he had to bring the machine back so I could pay. Overall, there is a lack of care at this hotel than there used to be. Perhaps all these years my door lock also wasn’t working and I’m just now checking and noticing!
