The Soluna is in an odd area. There is a budget motel next door, and a sports bar right across the street (that seemed busy, but it was Sat night.) It strikes me as an older hotel that had a facelift awhile back (not new, but also not ages ago.) Checkin was easy and there was plenty of parking around back. The decor is medium browns and…calming.
The room was spacious enough, the bathroom decent, the fridge definitely worked (we used it), and there was a microwave and blackout curtains. The bed was alright - standard med firm (not pillow top or anything), the bed was made nicely and the linens soft, and all the lamps have outlets for device charging.
The continental breakfast is what you’d expect - yogurt, muffins, toast, juice, coffee, fruit, and someone was making waffles. (At least it looked like a waffle maker.)
Not sure if it was just our bad timing, but the jacuzzi was not heated. Neither was the pool (not really a complaint, just still kinda cold- summer temps hadn’t warmed it yet.) Also, no loungers like in their pictures-and the pool area pic is the most flattering angle for the pool area - it’s wedged in a corner and even smaller than it looks. If lounging poolside is your idea- this ain’t a relaxing kinda spot. My only other complaint was the cable…no channel listing provided, no channel channel so you could see what was on (or soon to be). And the remote sucked (were tech-savvy enough to manage using such things- this one was either worn out or needed new bat
