Our room was in terrible shape. The ceiling leaked. There was black mold. The hair dryer and lamps shorted out. The doors to the rooms did not close properly and were very loud. This is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in

I was given a room that was situated in the basement. Main light bulb for the room was not working. The patio door had no security and it was needed of repair. The safe was not working so I could not restore my passport and money. Contacted the front desk and asked to change the room, but they wanted to charge me a additional $25 a day per couple. The buffet and that was another surprise. The food was nothing too crazy about and did not have that many selection and the selection that was available was quite simple and 80% the same everyday. Shows are boring and only dancing. That evening, I received a link from Expedia to comment on my check-in and I selected a unhappy face. The next morning, we got a message to go to the front desk where I spoke to another lady who gave us another room to change after seeing my check-in . It was a better version of room which everything was fine but again the safe was not working. Two days followed, there was a Celebration day called Cuba Day, where the staff was friendlier and the food was actually better but still the same and boring and you know why? because it was the day of commentary. I find the Hotel goes out of its way to manipulate guests in thinking that the hotel is good but for the price, go elsewhere. Limited alcohol selection, just local rum and liquor. No gym, repairs everywhere, water leaking in several bathrooms. This hotel is OLD. Slept very badly and mostly russian guests(probably unaware of better hotel). Be warned.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed at! Food was disgusting, had to beg for toilet paper, one bottle of water for the week. Windows so filthy could not view the ocean! We were snowbound for 2 days when we arrived to the Tuxpan, we were told we had no reservation! Meanwhile my daughter in law had told them we would not arrive until the following 2 days! We lost 2 days and had to pay for 2 more days!

it's about the beach and price
you stay here because of the best beach on the planet. the grounds and pools are gorgeous, the bedroom is adequate, toilets need to be manually flushed, and sometimes there is no water or no hot water. Door keys don't work half the time. Some staff are over the top wonderful, but most are rude to your face. There is plenty of alcohol, but instant coffee replaced the lovely cuban coffee offered up the first few days. towels are ripped, rooms are dark, windows are so dirty you can't see through them. the entertainment was very professional. the food was not great, think cold spaghetti with ketchup, but the breads were beautiful and desserts plentiful. i would not return.

Fresh blood stain on the pillow which we put in the closet. The maid did not pick it up or replace it. Lots of condensation leaking from the A/C unit which gave the whole room a musty smell. Bar tender told me he had no wine but 2 seconds later for my girlfriend he had some. Typical garbage food in Cuba. No variety as the staff steals all the good stuff.

Visité este hotel con mi familia recientemente en este mes septiembre del 2019. Éramos un grupo de 24 huéspedes Y todos y cada uno de nosotros quedamos muy insatisfechos con este hotel, con el servicio, con la atencion, con la limpieza, con la comida, en fin no se lo recomiendo absolutamente a nadie. Todas las habitaciones del primer piso huelen a humedad no se puede dormir allí, es tanta Que los pisos se Mojan, el hotel está lleno de gatos que asquerosamente andan encima de las mesas y hasta Manoseando la comida, en el bufet principal está invadido por moscas, por cada habitación te dan solamente un pomo de agua de litro y medio sin importar cuantos huéspedes la estén ocupando, un solo rollo de papel sanitario para los 4 días, en las habitaciones solo cambian las toallas que para colmos están manchadas de menstruacion y con huecos etc, las duchas están tupidas y apenas sale agua, un solo pomito de una onza de gel y jabón para bañarse. En un hotel todo incluido los empleados te ponen cara cuando constantemente vas a pedir cerveza, jugos o refrescos, te dan dos tarjetas de cartón al chequear que debes usar para las toallas en la piscina, tienes derecho a solo una toalla Por tarjeta y solo puedes cambiarla una vez por Día pero si por casualidad la Pierdes tienes que pagar 15 c.u.c por cada tarjeta. El falso techo de los baños se está cayendo, el Tv de las habitaciones es prácticamente una pantalla de computadora de aproximadamente 20 pulgadas. Ha sido la peor experiencia.

Beach is amazing
The rooms are very dated and need renovating but serve the purpose. The damp smell from the air conditioning takes a bit of getting used to but we have found the same issue in several hotels in this hot humid climate. The staff are so very friendly and willing to assist. The pool and beach are amazing

The customer service was not good at all and the reason is because they do not have the resources to be able to provide appropriate customer service. Most of the time they run out of Mojitos, Piña Coladas and other stuff. You have to ask the front desk to put new shampoo and shower gel if not, you will have the same small bottle for days. Once again they are in need of resources and this is the main reason why all the employees are not willing to provide excellent services. The new generation of Cubans have lost the educational, respect that the older generation had. There was no AC on the lobby as well as on the buffet. The AC was only available in your room, Rancho restaurant and the coffee -Habano lounge. Also, only 2 restaurants; the buffet and a la carte restaurant. Once again the Cuban government needs to provide better resources to their people. Cuba is no longer a socialist, Communist or Fidelist country, it has become dictatorship country full of cara de latas y descarados.

The ckin was ok on time with courtesy, the sparkling wine (Champagne)offered by the hotel for our anniversary was never placed in the room, the condition of this property is really bad in general, we rent 4 rooms and each has an strong smell of humidity and mold. sheets never replace, rooms were not supply with essential needs if you do not ask, a maid said that she will have to contact the manager in order to supply soap in one of the room, the tubs extremely high, the cleaning very poor. Food was ok with variety no good quality, drinks on every bar or restaurant had water add even the milk was undrinkable 80% water. the service?, no manners on this place, if you don't place the $ on your table you will not be serve or table clean, money talks! the bars works on the same rule no $ you'll spend the day taking water with rum flavor. No service on the beach. 3 elevators none working and this is a property that definitely requires elevators due to the quantity of stairs. Music to loud and no variety, you will get headed listening to the same bimbom all day and night, they should take in consideration that most of the tourist are not locals. The only place that I will recommend in this hotel is the bar were cuban cigars are offered, the gentleman is very educated and prepared for the position, our thanks for his time. we had a pleasant time in that bar. not a property for handicap person. We will not return to this hotel.
