We had a lovely stay at the hotel in November. Yes, the room is slightly on the small side, but it's fantastically cosy and I doubt you'd find a better bargain, given the location.
We were lucky to stay in a newly renovated room, and it was spotless. The bed was extremely comfy - absolutely top drawer, and the thick duvet made it nice and warm despite being freezing outside. The bathroom was, again, small but practical and incredibly clean.
The location is great- really near the station, and in a quiet part of town. You can walk to the centre in 10 or so mins. The staff were all very friendly, and the 24-hour reception is a big plus.
The only negative was the walls weren't very well sound proofed so you can hear people coming in and muffled talking in other rooms
Not a huge problem though, and managed to have some really good sleeps.
Overall, it's the perfect choice for those on a budget - great for the money, and a decent location from which to explore.
