All rooms were clean and tidy. Weather was very good only a brief period of rain. Weather used the public transport which was so easy to use and treated ourselves to a glutes free chippy tea, which was a short walk into the village. Lovely place!

The property was clean, quiet and comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised to find complimentary milk, bread, jam and tea at the property as well as a welcome note and small reference manual for our stay. Of particular note were the sunrise and sunset ocean views both from the property itself and on the half-mile walk from the property to the train station. If you take the train from Edinburgh to Kinghorn in the evening, you might catch the sunset over the bridge- Gorgeous! We had a lovely time and I would seriously consider renting the property again the next time I visit the UK.

We stayed here as we were going to a concert in Murrayfiels stadium and the location was perfect.
The cottage was clean and location beautiful.
Jack left a lovely bottle of wine and a welcome note.

Pettycur Beach House was an absolute delight from start to finish. The standout feature is undoubtedly the breathtaking sea view – waking up each morning to the waves gently breaking against the shore was a joy. The house itself was spotless, with a level of cleanliness and attention to detail that made settling in effortless.
What truly set it apart, though, was its charm and character. Thoughtfully curated artwork and quirky design touches gave the space real personality, making it feel warm, inviting, and far from generic. It struck a perfect balance between homely and stylish.
The location was ideal for both work and leisure – a perfect base for exploring the Fife Coastal Path, with scenic walks right on the doorstep. It was also surprisingly convenient for attending my conference at Edinburgh Napier University, with good links across the bridge into the city.
The bed linen and mattress were of outstanding quality, contributing to some of the best sleep I’ve had away from home. And a particularly thoughtful touch was the welcome our puppy received – complete with treats, bowls, and accessories, which made us feel truly welcome as a family.
A beautifully kept and well-loved place that I would return to in a heartbeat.
