The staff service was exceptional at this hotel, the friendly and attentiveness of the employees really made this a wonderful break away. The room was ideal in a pet friendly room it was not luxurious but adequate and suited our visit. The food was wonderful and we felt treated from arriving to departure. I would recommend this hotel it can not be faltering delivery.

We wanted to visit the local National Trust properties, which were all very worth visiting. The scenery was lovely (Peak District), and the pub we ate at was also very good - a recommendation of the hotel staff. We only stayed for three nights this time, but will be coming back for another visit sooner rather than later, and would hope to stay again at Newton House. The bar and lounges were nicely furnished and decorated, and the staff were all friendly and helpful.

We booked a 2 night stay here to celebrate my wife's birthday , we wanted a relaxing weekend and the white horse seemed to offer what we were looking for . Right from check-in i realised we had definitely picked the right place . We received a warm and friendly welcome and were shown to our room . We picked a junior suit and there was nothing junior about it. We found it big , bright and offered everything we wanted . Very clean and well presented.

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Ashbourne
Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Ashbourne is during January, March, and December, when hotel prices tend to be lower. For a budget-friendly getaway, a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is recommended to fully appreciate the town's significant landmarks and cultural attractions. Visitors can enjoy the friendly atmosphere, explore charming gardens, and partake in various outdoor activities like hiking, biking, and golf. This trip offers great value for money, allowing guests to relax and experience the beautiful countryside while soaking up the local history and culture.
Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: When planning a trip to Ashbourne, you may discover excellent opportunities by exploring the Dealsopens in new window or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where discounted hotel rates near your travel date could be available. Additionally, consider enabling email alerts or push notifications to receive updates on flash sales, as Hotels.com may notify you if prices drop or rooms become available. With the Smart Shopping tool via the app, you are more likely to compare hotel prices and amenities effectively, ensuring you have the latest information to book a timely getaway.
Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate based on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates could help you find better rates for your stay in an Ashbourne hotel. For those in search of something a bit different, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and, at times, enhanced value. When you book through Hotels.com, we'll inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we may suggest alternative dates that could help you find a more favourable deal.
Consider your location: Staying nearer to key attractions or city centres may provide convenience but often comes with higher costs. For more budget-friendly options, consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between price and accessibility to the places you wish to visit. You might also explore independent hotels located a bit further out, which can offer a more authentic and usually more affordable experience.
