Amazing resort, would recommend to others. Food excellent, rooms are new. Only one thing I had issue with the bar where certain alcohols were running out and weren’t being replaced. Staff helpful, and they have a trolley that drives you around the other resorts.

Overall the resort was really wonderful! The food is good there’s a reasonable amount of choices at the buffet. The restaurants are very difficult to get in to, so use the app before you arrive to schedule à la carte dinners. The spa was wonderful and they were very attentive and caring. Would definitely come again!

This is my second time to the property having stayed at one of the other properties on the resort last time. What you need to know is Tequila is associated with Coba resort and you have access to things within those two resorts ONLY, but you cannot go off those two resorts to use other amenities on the other resorts. Buffet at Tequila is very limited. Staff is super helpful, very friendly and some of the systems that are in place with Hyatt having taken over by here just doesn’t have the same feel as it did when I was there two years ago.

Awful place - cannot book restaurants yet they are empty! Rude staff in the Sports Bar - Miguel was unhelpful and rude with our large wedding party. Positives rooms are great and clean and staff at the buffet are lovely. The whole place is so big across the various hotels that the staff don’t care enough to make us personal or special.

I am not sure where to begin with this place if im being honest... First night, the sheets were damped but the room was clean, they were on top of that. Pool: Fun to go too, but be prepared to get only ONE towel, and be prepared to return it or they hold you it against you the next time you want one. There's no pool service, no food allowed either, and you will have to get your own drinks at the bar.

Nice property, very friendly and helpful staff. Sometimes lacking in amount of staff especially at the pool and pool bar. The staff that was there were working hard but the company could hire more staff. Room cleaning was done well and timely. Food at the buffet was mediocre… but I don’t have high expectations. Wish there was more fresh fruit and guacamole all the time. There was no towel game as the resort was definitely not at capacity when we went which was awesome. Overall enjoyed our stay and would consider going back. The entertainment team was great. We loved the divorce party and Miss Xtras performance!

We had a great stay overall and would recommend this resort. The service and food were excellent, with very good à la carte restaurants.. just be sure to book them 10 days before your stay when you can access online check in. It is a party resort and can be loud at times, but the noise was not nearly as bad as reviews made it seem. We slept well every night, even with our room being located right by the pool. Room cleanliness was okay but not exceptional, and toward the end of our stay it felt less well maintained than at the beginning. Still, a fun resort with great food and atmosphere. Would come back.

We had an amazing stay at Bahia Principe Grand Tequila. The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly and helpful. The resort and rooms were very clean. Beach access is just a short walk. There are also buggies that can drive you anywhere around the property. There’s also two different beach access spots for tequila. The food was amazing! 10/10, great variety and many options for à la carte. The highlight of our trip was the activities and events. There was always something to do. From day time pool parties and games to exclusive evening events. A special shoutout to Gregory, the activities coordinator, who truly made our trip extra special. Our group chatted with him one night and it felt like he instantly became part of the family. We honestly looked forward to seeing him every day for the remainder of our trip. Gregory and his crew know how to throw a good party that includes every one of all ages!

⭐☆☆☆☆ Unfortunately, I would not stay at this resort again or recommend it. The dining experience was one of the biggest disappointments. The only restaurant isn’t a buffet you order from a limited menu, and it’s the exact same options everyday for both breakfast and dinner. They’re also closed for lunch, so your only option is the Casita with basic fast-food style choices. The beach was another letdown. It’s a long walk, and waiting for the golf carts to take you there often took longer than expected. Once we arrived, the beach itself wasn’t impressive. We’ve stayed at other resorts in Riviera Maya, like Barcelo, and the beach there is far superior. The room looked modern, and the closet space was nice, but the bedding was disappointing. The sheets were clean but stained, and the mattress protector clearly wasn’t being replaced or cleaned regularly we found crumbs and hair underneath the sheets. There were also no bathrobes or slippers, and I really missed having double sinks in the bathroom. The alcohol selection was very limited and consisted mostly of bottom-shelf liquor. The only beer available during our stay was Dos Equis. Overall, this resort did not meet our expectations, especially for the price. There are much better all-inclusive resorts in Riviera Maya that offer better food, beaches, amenities, and overall value. Unless major improvements are made, I wouldn’t return.

This was the first time we stayed at the Grand Tequila. While the new rooms were comfortable and clean, we had to change rooms because we had draining issues with the shower. It took them two days to move us. The cleaning service was good. The over all service was not good. We got food poisoning on the second day and their concierge refused to take any responsibility for it. He basically said I was already sick when I arrived and it was due to my poor hygiene while eating. He said that there were no other complaints about the food making people sick, but we know for a fact there were other people who got sick. Yes the rooms are clean and the beach is nice, but we will not be going back to this resort. The food is not as good as it used to be and the service is also going downhill. I spent my whole week sick with food poisoning. Basically, I paid a lot of money for an all inclusive resort to stay in my room sick eating crackers and drinking pedialyte. They did offer to send soup to our room. This was for a couple of days and only after we kept complaining.

1. Shower drainage issue The water in the shower booth did not drain properly due to poor floor leveling. The shower floor was lower than the drain hole, so water constantly remained on the floor. I believe this is a design or construction issue. As a result, the room had very high humidity, all of our clothing became damp, and it was very difficult to dry anything during our stay. 2. Airport transportation issue I booked my trip as a hotel and flight package. With previous package reservations, airport shuttle service was automatically included. However, when I arrived at Cancun Airport, I was shocked to learn that Bahia Principe no longer provides complimentary shuttle service. There was also no Bahia Principe representative at the airport. We had no choice but to arrange private transportation on our own for a round trip, which cost us an additional USD 357. 3. Food quality and staff service The food at Grand Tequila and Coba was excessively salty and, unfortunately, not enjoyable. In contrast, the food at Sian Ka’an was good. All staff members were very nice and kind. In particular, Irving at the reception desk was excellent. I sincerely appreciate his help in arranging private transportation for us when our flight schedule was very tight.
