Mark and Lyn were somewhat surprised to find we had arrived in Meredith by bus! Not to be recommended. Taxied up to their charming hotel. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, homemade granola, yoghurt and raspberry couli, followed by poached pears and Mark's soda bread. Lyn took us down to the lake for a trip and collected us in the afternoon. They could not have been kinder or more concerned that we enjoyed our stay. We loved it.

The restaurant served a great dinner, cocktails and a simple eggy breakfast.

Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To uncover last-minute deals to Gilford, begin by exploring the Dealsopens in new window or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may discover discounted rates on hotels as your travel date approaches. Additionally, consider enabling email alerts or push notifications from Hotels.com to stay informed about flash sales and special promotions, ensuring you’re more likely to seize opportunities to save. The Smart Shopping tool, available via the app, allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, so if rooms become available or prices drop, you'll be the first to know and can easily book your last-minute escape.
Be flexible with dates: Prices may vary depending on factors such as the hotel’s location, star rating, and time of year, so being flexible with your dates could help you save on your stay at Gilford Hotel. For those seeking distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels might offer a more personalised experience and occasionally better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we will indicate if the price for your chosen dates is above or below average, and if the price appears higher, we may suggest more affordable dates to potentially help you secure a better deal.
Consider your location: Staying near key attractions or city centres may offer convenience but usually tends to be more expensive. For more affordable rates, consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between cost and ease of access to the places you plan to visit. You might explore independent hotels further afield, which are more likely to be affordable while also providing a more authentic experience.
