Really nice hotel with a pleasant roof terrace and great staff; the free coffee all day was a nice touch as were the free croissants first thing. Lots of interesting food options nearby - iconic dining at: The Roxy; Bubby’s and Katz Diner were all only a short walk away. There are good transport connections via the nearby subway station and it sits in a very friendly and safe neighbourhood on the border between Chinatown and Little Italy.

This hotel was an absolute gem location wise. It’s 5 mins from Grand Central, 7mins from Summit One, 20min straight walk to Times Square or around 10mins to 5th Avenue. There is a Little cafe on site which we were allocated $17.50 per day destination credit which was great to pick up a little snack or coffee before embarking on a day of sightseeing. There is absolutely nothing bad to say about Kixby. The location is as safe as it gets,easy walking distance from Penn Station if you come in by LIRR/Airtrain from JFK(30 mins hassle free way to get into Manhattan) and the subway is 50 yards from the front door. The hotel itself is clean and centrally located for NYC tourism in Times Sq. the staff are great, breakfast included was a good start to each day and the price we got through Expedia was a bargain. Be warned that there is a migrant shelter directly opposite the hotel which can be intimidating as large groups hang around outside - the hotel have a regular security guard and the NYPD are outside the shelter all the time.

I stayed in several hotels over my stay in New York but this is the one I enjoyed the most. The location, close to Korea Town, was vibrant and very central. A tall building, it provides lovely views on its upper floors. There's a bar at the top and the hotel itself had an upbeat, sociable vibe even though my stay was near the start of a week.
