First, let me say that I enjoyed my stay, and plan to visit again next year.
But let me point out that the room amenities don't match the Expedia description at all. The bed is not a Sleep Number (by a long shot); there is no separate living room or dining area; there is no bathtub of any kind; no washer/dryer; no sofa bed. Turns out I didn't really need any of these things, but they could spare the guest some initial disappointment by describing the rooms accurately. Furthermore, I booked a special cottage - which according to their literature is supposed to have a sea view - and don't think I got one.
The best thing about this resort is its focus on customer service. It's the best you'll find in India, outside of five-star hotels. Next to that, location is wonderful - on a small cliff above the ocean - not a problem at all to walk down (or even back up). The huts are nice. Overall, the ambience is perfect: quiet, healthy, and happy.
What this place really needs though is a bar. Alcohol isn't served at the resort, which is fine, but why not a shaded place to sip on healthy emulsions or tasty mocktails? This would have improved my experience greatly. I had to take a cab to Kovalam in order to get a good cold drink.
