"What a gem! Right in the middle of a very popular coffee/ restaurant strip & independent shops. Three minute walk to an amazing Art Gallery & entry to Civic Park which is surrounded by a number of significant historic buildings. Seven minute walk to the Foreshore, go left to the dockyards right to the beach or hop on the light rail. All rooms in the apartment were huge including the balcony. Plenty of room & utensils to cook & eat & the guest laundry was well equipped to complete any washing you need to complete. Unit was spotless."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Newcastle
- Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Newcastle is in May, July, and August, when hotel prices are lower. To fully appreciate the city's key historical and cultural landmarks, a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is recommended. This timeframe allows you to explore the local library, enjoy the natural parks, and engage in family-friendly activities by the sea, such as swimming and kitesurfing. Visiting during these months offers great value for money, especially if you're on a budget, as prices may drop further, making your experience even more economical.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To uncover last-minute deals to Newcastle, visit the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may discover discounted rates on hotels as your travel date approaches. Consider enabling email alerts or push notifications to stay updated on flash sales and exclusive promotions, ensuring you don't miss potential savings. Additionally, Smart Shopping is a handy comparison tool available via the app, allowing you to compare hotel prices and amenities, so you're more likely to see the best options for your stay. With these resources, booking a last-minute getaway becomes much easier.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate due to factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates could help you save on your stay in a Newcastle hotel. For those seeking distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and may offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher end, we’ll suggest alternative dates that could be more affordable, helping you to find the best deal.
- Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre usually tend to be pricier, but thanks to Newcastle's excellent public transport connections, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel a bit further out that remains well linked. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often great value for money to be found. Opting for these alternative locations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
