Hotels in Matulji

We did not get a response from the property when we messaged about early parking. Check in was easy and staffed from 16:00-22:00 when we arrived (June 2026).

One of the best hotels we ever stayed in. Great in all respects, we would love to be back. Other details - same as my other review for the preceding stay.

Great hotel with great sea views.

Fabulous hotel. The staff were wonderful (especially Harry, the Front Desk Manager who is a credit to the hotel). The room was exceptional with a view to die for, the bed was comfortable, the shower first class. The breakfast was something else with the vast choice. When in Opatija don’t stay anywhere else!

This is our seventh year back at this hotel. The hotel has changed ownership, and some changes have taken place. Unfortunately, not for the better. First, parking is now a paid service. 20 euros per day is a significant increase in the cost of a vacation, especially if you're staying for a week or more. This is really an amazing place. The room was outstanding. The staff was very helpful to give us a lift to the hotel from Kastav and back (the entrance gate was to narrow for our van besides it was heavy raining when departing).

Had a great stay here beautiful coastline with lots of restaurant choices along a walkway which stretches a long way down the coast. The only down side is the very steep walk down and then up to get back to the property but if you are fit and like to walk the sea is the place to be here although they have a lovely pool and sun deck with loads of loungers and shade at no cost. We had a car so drove to Opatija and surrounding areas.

Wonderful hotel, great location and staff were friendly apart from one woman Mariana or Marina from reception who was rude after we had checked out, will be reaching out to the hotel to chase up on this. Leon was really helpful and would like to recommend him. The hotel genuinely tries to earn its rating.

We enjoyed our stay, with a comfortable room, very good breakfast and lovely and helpful staff. However, it is very confusing to even find the hotel, we stay in over 30/yr, and even harder to find the reception. The parking is actually in another hotel, all in all, signage and general description needs improving, hotel itself is great.

Excellent Location and staff members!!! Rooms are very great also with some best views of sea!
