Incredible the history they have in this house. If you love history, you will love this place. Staff was extremely friendly. And to top it off, the breakfast was home cooked and amazing. I’ll definitely be coming back anytime I’m in Louisville.

I have to rate this a 3 as a blend of 1s and 5s 5 - great location, close to Mega Caverns and Zoo 1 - No one checks you in or makes breakfast - you make your own breakfast 1 or 5 - it is very old. That can be cool/interesting, or can be annoying. For example, the bathtub was in a hole and you could not stand up in it 5 - Beds were super comfortable! 1 - Dust mites ate my son alive in his bed, causing welts 5 - They gave our son his own room as compensation 1 - I had to guilt them into that 3 - Breakfast items were meh 5 - they had milk, eggs, pancake mix and lots of cooking utensils in a huge kitchen 1 - rating myself for being too lazy to do the cooking 5- the grounds were very nice 1 - the exterior light right outside our room went off and on all night, keeping us up

Beautiful Inn! New ownership may be still be working out some details. Ammenities listed for our suite were not completely accurate. While having a private bath - I am also glad to not be shy with my husband. We could maintain eye contact and conversation at ALL times. ( I did peek in other rooms and this is not always the case ..) ( We had the jockey suite ) A curtain should also be added in this room for a touch more privacy. There is a window looking into the main house that let much light in at night and anyone of height or willing to use the available chair would look right at the bed. There was no breakfast. There was fruit available. No coffee. No milk for the cereal. The historic nature of the inn was spectacular. Location was great. It was clean, and interesting with great parking! Maintenance was so fast It was unreal. Also polite and personable. All in all.... it was a great stay. A few minor touches as ownership takes over will make it even better. Would come back!

Grounds needed some extra care especially around the small bridge and pond. Outside lights needs replacement. But overall the place was amazing. Love the coziness of it. The history of the house.

Louisville's best kept secret! Owner and staff are super friendly and accommodating. Rates and location are great, being in a quiet neighborhood not far from shopping and food. I hope to stay again in the future.

Pros: was clean. Liked all the history. Outside was so cute, too bad wasn’t more kept up. Inside was clean, nicely decorated. Was excited about a good “B&B” breakfast. Very sad. No milk for cereal, no toast for eggs but one stale roll under cake plate. An empty pitcher, no juice. A vase of dead flowers on the table, so sad. I’m a baker and would have loved even just some homemade cinnamon rolls.

We found the Manor through Expedia. We arrived later in the day and immediately had problems. Our code didn't work, our "helper" was not accessible via text or call. So I call the owner who changed the code. We unload, leave for dinner and upon return, we wanted to relax. Nope! I went to wash my hands, no towels, no paper towels. Thankfully I packed both just in case. We then start looking for the remote to unwind - no remote. But in searching for I found everything I didn't want to find. Cobwebs on the furniture and TV. Mice feces by the head board. Dirty clothes in not 1 but 2 drawers. I thought OK, we can go without TV. So I go to relax on the bed and almost immediately, fleas attacked my ankle. I killed it. I went to lay back and my white shirt had about 4 or 5 fleas on it. At that point, I was disgusted. I did let the owner know. The grounds are amazing, if you can get a clean room. Go enjoy the blind squirrel for dinner. Friendly atmosphere and good food.

This is a beautiful property with a very interesting history. It is situated in a neighborhood so there was no traffic noise and the rooms were very quiet. But.... 1. We did not get the email from the property to access the room. I called the number on the website and the previous owner responded that he had sold the property. He even checked with us the next day to make sure we were ok. We did find the property manager that evening and got into the room. 2. There was no toilet paper in the room or in any room we could access. I texted the PM to let her know. There was never any acknowledgement, so we bought our own. 3. The shower in our room had an adjustable head that would not stay adjusted. It folded in on itself so we had to find another room to take our showers. 4. Breakfast was from 8-10. The PM prepared it then disappeared. Each day there was less. Another family had several children who had sticky fingers. The stickiness was still on the tablecloth 2 days later. 5. There were several vases of roses that had molded. They were still molding when we left. 6. There was a coffee machine in the room, but no coffee. 7. The grounds seemed neglected. They need trimming and weeding. This place has so much potential but needs TLC and management. An absentee owner needs good people onsite or they need to be there themselves.

Dear Expedia Support, I am writing to formally request a refund regarding a recent booking that did not meet the agreed standards and was significantly misrepresented. Upon arrival, we were informed that the room we had originally booked was unavailable. Instead, we were offered a different room at a reduced price (from $160 to $135). However, this replacement room was of substantially lower quality and did not match the listing we selected at the time of booking. The conditions of the room were unacceptable: - The room was extremely cold, and the provided heater was ineffective and excessively noisy, making it impossible to sleep. - We were forced to sleep in our clothes due to the low temperature. - The sleeping arrangements were inadequate, including uncomfortable mattresses and a fold-out bed that appeared to be assembled from broken furniture. - The bed was placed directly next to a drafty window, causing continuous cold airflow. - There was a strong cigarette odor in the room, indicating it had not been properly cleaned or ventilated. - The space was overcrowded with furniture (including a refrigerator), leaving almost no room to move. - While it initially appeared clean, the room was in fact cluttered and poorly maintained upon closer inspection. After a long journey, we expected basic comfort, including warmth and proper sleeping conditions. Instead, the stay caused significant discomfort and inconvenience. This situation constitutes a clear case of misrepresenta
