The rooms were clean and spacious, and the best part about the whole place was the people that worked there. The front desk, the maintenance man, Armando, and the cleaning staff were all incredibly nice and accommodating.

This was our 1st stay in Laguna Beach, we had a great time at the Mara, the front desk staff was wonderful to us. Eric and Ruben and Adall took great care of us . Thank you. Hope to come back soon.

I and a couple of colleagues stayed here as it was convenient to all the OC places we needed to visit from Newport Beach to Dana Point. Hotel is a former Sonder. The beds were great and in-room amenities and towels were nice, but rooms had that ocean stale smell and felt a little outdated. The rooms use an old code based lock system which was inconvenient versus hotel card keys. and the hotel had old motel layout with long windy hallways. Overall, great for convenience and good stay for a couple days for the price.

We had a great stay here! Super close to lots of shopping, food and coffee. Great view of the beach. The staff was so kind and accommodating and the rooms were perfect! Will definitely be staying here again.

The AC was very noisy, we told the front desk and they changed right away, but the last day of our stay the drain got clogged and dirty water started to flow out of the shower drain, good luck that we were leaving!!
