The view of Mount Fuji from the hotel, and the service of the breakfast restaurant are excellent.
However, the condition of the hotel facilities (especially the bathroom) and the reception of the front desk staff are not up to Japanese standards.

The staff at the hotel were extremely helpful when we needed assistance! The team at the Mt. Fuji hotel were very friendly and assisted us with whatever we needed. The view of Mount Fuji from the hotel was amazing! We ended up walking up the mountain to the hotel, as we did not initially know about the shuttle bus but that did not prove to be too difficult. We had a fantastic time at Mt. Fuji hotel!!

Pros:It’s a nice hotel with helpful staff. The room's view is magnificent, the onsen is fantastic. Room is specious and clean.
Cons: the hotel is far from the main road but there is a shuttle that we haven’t aware of it, so we had to get a taxi to the hotel first day.
In total, we enjoyed our stay in the hotel mt Fuji.

A true traditional experience.
View from our room to the lake and Mount Fuji was worth every single penny. Highly recommended that you either rent a car or be prepared to pay for taxis to go down to the town and restaurants.
Most of the times it will be around 2,200 yens for a one way trip, so consider this in your expenses.
Great traditional hotel with the opportunity to have a private onsen in the hotel.

You need to make a reservation at the hotel in advance if you would like to eat there. Otherwise there are a lot of nice places around the lake.

Great view of Mount Fuji just from the hotel room and restaurant. wing we stayed are spacious but need updates as there are not enough electric outlets and no USB plugs. Service is great and suggest add breakfast to your booking as it is really good deal.

Hotel Mt. Fuji is a gem. The service was excellent, the food delicious, the attention to detail meticulous and the onsen inviting. If you are lucky enough to visit the area on a clear day, the property is situated on an hill and offers stunning views of Mt. Fuji. We loved staying at this charming hotel. They recently celebrated their 60th anniversary and I can see why it continues to thrive all these years.

Great location, nice view of fuji-san, nice garden and trail at the back, nice breakfast with a lot of choice. The fact the rooms had some older furniture was fine since it was according to price. Easier control of hot water in the shower would be better.

Our stay at Hotel Mt.Fuji was a good experience overall. Although the hotel is 60 years old, the rooms were clean and comfortable. The building could use some exterior renovations. The views of Mt Fuji were spectacular from the room and courtyard. The staff was friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was great. The dinner restaurants (only two) were a bit pricey but the food was very good. We really enjoyed the hot pools with magnificent views. The shuttle service to the bus stop at the bottom of the hill and back up was mandatory. There's no way you can hike up and down that hill to the hotel, There's a handful of places to eat and shop around the lake area. Nice and quiet retreat from the busy city.
