The hotel Alpha is ok, there was a friendly welcome when I arrived and the room was clean. The reception is actually in one build3 and the hotel rooms are in another building a few doors down the road. It seemed to me like one of those big town apartment blocks that at some point has been converted to a hotel.
It's 10 minutes walk from the main station and in a decent area with lots of cafes and restaurants.
The room was clean, a comfortable single bed and little touches like complimentary chocolate, fruit and water on arrival.
The only thing I would say about the hotel is it really needs some updating. It looks very dated but not in a nice characterful way, in a desperate need of a refurbishment sort of way. It reminded me of a very dated alpine chalet, glazed brown tiles on the bathroom floor, beige sink & toilet, and lots of faded pictures and artificial flowers.
Don't get me wrong, the hotel was fine for the price, just don't stay here if you like your mod-cons and you room to look like it's been decorated in the last 40 years.
