Excellent Service & Always Clean
My experience upon check-in & check-out was excellent - very friendly. I had a couple of needs during my stay; the front desk was very responsive and immediately addressed them. I was very happy with the service I received. This is my lodging of choice when in Durango; the rooms are always clean, which is the top priority for me.

Just a couple of doors down from the Durango & Silverton train depot. Lots of shops and great restaurants within walking distance! Make sure and check out the bookstore across the street.

This lodge may be a little older but I thought it’s location and vibe to be just right. The room was clean and comfortable. The location near the depot and to downtown made everything just plain easy. Probably more laid back than some of the other nearby hotels. If you’re looking for absolutely top notch this is not your place. If you’re looking for a convenient, respectable and easy place to stay don’t look any further. Also recommend comparing price to the lodge’s website price. Easy 3.75 of 5.

The room was clean, we couldn’t hear any neighbors. There was construction at the property next door, but it ended in the afternoon and had not started by the time we left. Overheard other guests dissatisfied about the fact that the AC had been turned off for the year. Maybe the upstairs rooms were warm in the afternoon, but our room was just fine. No need for AC in the mountains in October. Great affordable place to stay within walking distance of the Main Street.

Great place to stay our 3 nites in Durango!!
Had a nice stay. Comfy bed, could've used a couple softer pillows. Justin (mgr) was great & got our tv working (replaced batteries in the control). So happy we had our king bed room on the first floor!! Continental bfast not bad: Egg/cheese/sausage croissant good, had pop tarts, pkgd oatmeal & coffee (would've been nice to have a pot of decaf coffee, too, but made it in our room w/the Keurig. Loved we only had to walk 1 block to train depot!! Gave us extra requested blanket. Very nice place to stay!! Staff nice/polite!

This would have been a 5 star review except the air conditioning went out halfway through my stay, and I was given a fan to use with the open balcony door. I need a room to be 66ish at night to sleep. I did not sleep well the 2nd night despite the fan, even though it was cool outside. Additionally, I forgot something and I thought it was cheeky to charge for mailing it to me. It should have been comped with the a/c issue. If I come back to Durango I'll stay here again because it is very convenient for walking downtown. Just really wish the A/C was fixed in a timely manner rather than the front desk person saying I don't know regarding an ETA.
