Avoid this place
I checked in at around 8pm. There was no front staff at the hotel only a sign advising later arrivals to check-in next door to the liquor store (how dangerous for someone in recovery). The room had a door knob on it with no latch nor deadbolt (I should’ve taken a picture) but I thought to myself, it’s Lilooet - I’d be safe. I didn’t see a thermostat and the room was cold; I didn’t get a chance to find one either because I couldn’t get over the safety issue so I requested another room. The cashier gave me a room with a kitchenette. I pulled down the bedspread only to find short brown hair on the linen and dirt marks. Disgusted, I called Hotels.com and explained the state of both rooms then I informed them that I no longer wished to stay at this hotel. They were very polite and courteous. The agents helped me cancel the rest of my stay and future upcoming stays. I ended up paying for the previous night despite not checking-in (which is fine). I could not reach my destination on account of car trouble. But as it was short notice, I could not cancel the night. As a lone female traveller or someone in recovery - stay away from this place.

Did not know it was ontop of a bar but was clean with clean bedding and towels and great air conditioning and Wifi. Just could use a little more attention to details with cleaning garbage but other than that everything was clean as great

A very basic room no extras at all, no face cloths, no fitted bottom sheet on the bed just a flat sheet that didnt fit well. Biggest thing TV didnt work, the staff did try and fix it but no luck ,they would have accomadated us and moved us to another room but it was getting late.

I thought had a fridge, but did not and this would have been most helpful traveling with food. The staff was very helpful though and offered a solution which worked well. The bed was very comfortable and had a great sleep.

The air conditioner wasn't working so They offered me another room with working air conditioner but they didn't changed the bed sheets. I found a dozen of hairs from the previous guests in my bed. I wouldn't recommend to any future guests.

Cheap but best avoided
Overall, I would recommend avoiding the Victoria hotel. I stayed here a couple of years ago, and I think it has gone downhill. The bed was clean and comfortable, but it feels shabby. The tile and the carpet on the floor don’t meet, leaving a dirty gap. The kitchen does not have a coffee maker, and there was only one fork. The bathroom sink did not drain, the toilet tank valve was faulty, and the toilet brush was lying on the floor. The window was quite dirty, and while I appreciate having a table and two chairs, the chairs did not really look clean enough to sit on, and unfortunately, the lobby and the hallways smell of cooking odors. Finally, I know that the hosts cannot control the behaviour of all their guests, but there was an extended period of noise in the night from others in the hallway, talking and shouting. As much as I like to stay in independent hotels rather than chains , the Victoria Hotel should be avoided. I had booked two nights, but left after one. The woman at the desk just took my key without even asking why I was leaving early or if I had any concerns about the room.

They didn’t tell me that the only pet friendly room was right above the loud band. My dog was so scared from the noise, vibration and thumping. Never again would I stay there.

Staff are doing their job, but a room: - for two people needs at least two chair around the table - guest staying more than a night would need sponge stuff to wash the dishes - at least two sets of silverware is needed. - bed box cover is a part of bed and should be washed and clean. I have been in this hotel every year from 2014 and I liked it. But it was the first time after COVID. I expected a better maintenance.
