More than in other countries in Africa, hotel prices in Nigeria and hotel quality, i.e. room functionality and service, seem to be uncorrelated. It is, therefore, an art to find an acceptable-priced hotel with acceptable quality, instead of ending up in a terrible one with a high price tag. I stayed for two weeks on a business trip at Nanet Suites, and it revealed to be a very good choice for me. Not that this is my dream of a hotel, but its quality-price ratio is perfect.
PROS: spacy rooms with kitchen; predictable service; centrally located in CBD
NEUTRALS: the kitchen is ok, but don’t try to cook; you have to get used to their breakfast offer
CONS: you will need a taxi to get around and to decent restaurants
