It's remote, authentic and historic property. Beautiful surroundings and nature. A little pricey.

The REAL Norwegian experience
This family-owned traditional Norwegian inn is a wonderful alternative to the dry corporate alternatives often experienced in travel. The owner and his wife are friendly and helpful, and the hotel is clean. Located up in the mountains overlooking the green valley below you will not have to look hard for a good view nor will it be difficult make lifelong memories here. Pilgrim and Norwegians frequent this hotel and they easy to get to know in this comfortable environment. If you are looking to experience the real Norway you have found it.

Great traditional guest house in quiet rural locat
Liz Beth and Bjorn are excellent hosts; a real homely feel to this guesthouse. There is a limited but very tasty traditional Norwegian menu for dinner, and a really excellent breakfast. Located in a lovely valley just north of Lillehammer, we would highly recommend Glomstad to anyone wanting a rural location , surrounded by good walking, and an easy going style that is totally relaxing

Great place with great food
Glomstad is full of character, sits in a perfect location and the food here is really, really good. This was my second visit and it was just as good as I had remembered it to be! I've used it as a handy place to stop when driving on the E6, but it is actually situated in a quiet place high above the valley, with great views, so it would definitely be worth staying here for longer as there is lots to do nearby.

Old fashion hotel stay!
This hotel was charming, and it really gave you the feeling of living in Norway, because of the furniture and general hotel decor. The owners are a charming couple who are willing to chat about life in Norway and give advice on places concerning your own agenda.

Great place; great food!
This place is fantastic! It is historic and full of character, but really comfortable and welcoming at the same time. It's a great location too, a peaceful place with views up and down Gudbrandsdalen but being only minutes from the main road it is very convenient.
However a special mention has to go to the food here; it is really, really good and that alone would be reason to choose Glomstad!
The owners clearly work hard to make this place so good, and couldn't have been more hospitable - thank you both!
