At check in we were handed our room key and advised that there were complimentary chopsticks and sake in the room. The room is more spacious than most hotel rooms in Japan, it is sound-proofed, luxurious and very comfortable. It is very good value for money. We had a lot of fun with the karaoke machine and two microphones. We enjoyed the separated jacuzzi and the ability to make it a steam room, and we put on the colourful lights on the jacuzzi. The Shinjuku area is an entertainment district. We walked to and from Shinjuku-Sanchome metro / subway which is not the closest metro station (but still close) because we arrived Tokyo Station on a Shinkansen bullet train, took the Marunouchi metro line 8 or 9 stops to Shinjuku Sanchome station. Using Shinjuku Sanchome station meant we did not need to change metro/subway lines.
Some reviewers have complained here that they did not realise this was a Love Hotel. Did they not read the description of it properly prior to booking? Did they not read reviews?
We booked knowing this is a Love Hotel, and chose it for a whole quirky “Japan” experience, and for a bit of fun karaoke in comfort of our own room, and a dash of luxury on our final night in Japan. When we checked out, we left our luggage and walked around Shinjuku for a little while, before returning to collect our bags.
Wifi was very good too.
