Clean and spacious room for a short stay
We had an over stay at this hotel and it was lovely. The staffs waited for us at the train station to pick up our bags so we could continue our Machu Picchu tour after arriving in Aguas Caliente. Bed was bed and comfy and room was clean. Def recommend for a nice yet affordable stay!

8/10 Very good

This is a nice hotel with a very good breakfast, friendly staff and large clean rooms. It gets VERY hot in the rooms so you can’t close the windows. We were river side and people are always outside yelling, laughing, cheering. Till after 2:00am! Very noisy!

Perhaps the best option in Aguas Calentes to stay. The staff was great and sent someone to guide us from the train to the hotel. There are rooms in the front and the back of the hotel. Turns out the rooms on the back "rooms that end in 10 like 410 or 510 are the ones with the best view." The town is clean, safe and easily walkable. Just be sure to bring your A-game to haggle for your souvenirs.

2/10 Poor

An expensive sinking ship - avoid!
Jaya markets itself as luxurious, but it isn't. Its facilities, amenities, and organisation are far inferior to nearby hotels who charge a fraction of the price. We were shocked to discover no basic appliances in our room: no bathroom ventilation fan, no bedside lamp, no closet light, no work desk, no electric kettle to boil water in your own room. We packed instant soup, but we couldn't cook it. We also found no basic welcome amenities such as facial tissue, lotion, or a dental kit. No bubble bath for that fancy Jacuzzi either. So why does Jaya charge so much more than 5-star hotels in Lima? Because its rating is inflated by well meaning travellers who don't realise they're being ripped off. During an all-night disturbance at the hotel, the hotel was useless. I called the front desk at 2am multiple times; then walked downstairs at 3am to ask in person if they might have some earplugs or eye covers I could use. No one was there. So much for a "24/7 Front Desk"! I must say that Jaya's staff did, when awake, try their best to minimise my disappointment; Santiago and Cesar are super kind! They responded as best as they could to find creative solutions the problems Jaya invites. I very much thank them. But even the best sailors can't save a sinking ship. I've communicated my complaints to the "Captain." Will she make the needed fixes? Time will tell. But if I were you, I wouldn't risk my vacation on the Titanic.

An expensive sinking ship - avoid!
During our stay, a village festival BOOMED until 4AM, a macho-man's obnoxious voice and lightning-like stage lights piercing through Jaya's "blackout curtains" all night long. But even the best sailors can’t save a sinking ship. I’ve communicated my feedback to the captain. Will she put the ship back on course? Time will tell. But if we’re you, I wouldn’t risk my vacation aboard the Titanic.

Nice family style hotel
Hotel is very closed to the train station, Machu Picchu bus and all restaurants. The room was bigger and better than expected. Breakfast was simple but there were options. I would rate the hotel 4*.

4/10 Fair

Paid for one of their premium rooms - panoramic view double. For a 3 star was quite expensive compared to other 3 star hotels and saw nice reviews so thought maybe that is why the price was high. However, i cant leave a good rating. The security box was broken so could not lock my belongings. First red flag. My phone in my room also did not work so had to go all the way down also very annoying. Pro’s - nice location. Con’s - not worth the extra costs.

Pro: Cleanness and friendiness of the staff Con: NO WINDOWS in the room, or any ventilation system, even not in the shower or toilet room, and of course no air-condition or any system helps air flow. Opening you door to the hallway(which is also inside the building) is the only way to get air from inside the building. Extremely noisy, and the noise is caused by the hotel themselves. They hosted a party until 12:30am, and they started the loud music again 5AM in their kitchen in the morning!
