From the beginning dealing with Taos Apartments was not a good experience!
1. The rate was different from the one offered on the Expedia site.
They wanted to charge us almost double rate, they didnt want to accept the Expedia rate.
The staff did not even know that their hotel was on Expedia.
They kept saying to us that there was no reservation on our name, that we were not in their system.
They kept saying that they do not work with Expedia.
We had to show them our reservation and Expedia confirmation number.
They would not believe us.
This was very upsetting!
2. Then we looked at the "apartment"and it was not the room we reserved. We had booked an apartment with 2 double beds and a small kitchen. At least an apartment big enough for a couple.
In the picture the apartment looked spacious, a bedroom with two double beds with a kitchen.
When we got there the only apartment available was a small room with one bed, instead of two beds, and a tiny, a very small kitchen, big enough for one person.
The room was so small, that we felt so claustrophobic, so we left immediately.
This apartment was not what we have booked.
We canceled the reservation and we left immediately!
Thank God they agreed and acknowledged our situation. They apologized!
They canceled our reservation and let us go.
We didnt stay not even 15 minutes.
It is very challenging to arrive at your hotel, thinking that you have a reservation and getting there to find out that your room is not what you reserved!
