"This hotel was great with a fantastic view of Mt. Fuji. Restaurant options for breakfast and dinner were top notch. We really enjoyed the food. We also appreciated the on site gift shop which was also a small market. Good selection of snacks and beverages. The staff was excellent and very helpful and accomodating. The hotel is a little remote (at the top of a steep hill). If you don't have your own car, it can be a bit of a challenge getting around, and relying on the shuttle. "
"What an incredible and luxurious stay. Everything was spotless and well thought out. Our private onsen was amazing. The staff are super friendly and helpful."
"Hakone is beautiful, we loved our stay here. Felt a bit more quaint and cozy then I imagine maybe some other options or that is just generally the vibe for a
small town in the mountains. The alcohol amenity and bar snacks were a lovely touch. The onsen was small but never crowded so it didn’t feel that way. Would absolutely stay here again if my luck brings me back to this place. "
"I never experienced this type of service or hotel before. This was my first time being in a 5-star hotel and it honestly blew my mind. The place was amazing, the staff were very courteous and super friendly, and the food was incredible! Higly recommend this place to anyone and would definitely go back to it if i have another chance. Thank you for everything, TEN-YU!"
"The Suiun is beautiful and amazing! The staff are incredibly polite and accommodating. The property has a beautiful private and public onsen, with options for rooms that have their own onsen. The views of the surrounding mountains are gorgeous. The Japanese style breakfast they offer is impressive, varied, and filling. I will be staying here again in the future."
Ajisai Onsen Ryokan - Award Winning Private Open Air Onsen Hakone
10/10 Excellent
"This was a unique experience. The 2 indoor and 1 outdoor onsen were very relaxing. The staff were extremely friendly, polite and helpful. The traditional Japanese food was beautifully presented and tasty. The standard of cleanliness was exceptional. About 25 minutes walk from Gora station if you are dragging heavy cases up the hill! Otherwise about 15 minutes. "
