It was definitely not what I expected. I pulled into the property and thought I was in the wrong place. The parking lot was weedy and unkempt; the hotel itself was tucked in between car lots and tire repair businesses. It was literally my port in a storm as it was pouring rain and I needed to get in somewhere for the night, having driven through a long and treacherous detour, and being exhausted.
The room had been updated and was pleasant enough, yet was absolutely spartan in furnishings and amenities. I did not take a shower because even though I ran the water in the sink for 20 minutes, the water never got warm enough for showering. The towels (only one set) were very thin and though I'm sure they were washed, they were noticeably stained.
While I'm sure the proprietor is trying to do his best, the facility was not up to the standards people would expect from the Wyndham brand.
