Beautifully maintained historic hotel
Beautifully maintained historic hotel, on a state park, and scientifically important site. Excellent food at fair prices, in the restaurant and the ice cream parlor. Large fireplace in the lodge lobby when the weather is chilly.

Would stay again.
The hotel and the people working there were excellent. The other guests staying there however, were terrible. They were up and down the hall all night, slamming doors and being very loud. If the doors sealed better and the walls werent as thin, it would have been a perfect stay. The restaurant had great food and friendly staff with a great ambiance. Checking in and out was extremely easy with the online process.

A true Gem
The Lodge is a true Gem in Florida. The spring behind it offers activity, and the simple hiking trail is awesome. The hotel is old and nicely renovated.
If the restaurant is booked, there are some good food options nearby.
I have recommended The Lodge to many friends

Boat cruise is always fun. We always see alligators, manatees, turtles and lots of birds. A beautiful place to relax and enjoy nature. Prime rib night is always good. Catfish is a favorite, too.
