The hotel looked very grand from the exterior and the reception as well. The check in was relatively quick and the staffs were very nice.
I was staying in the Japanese room, and corridor was very dark, long and narrow, and its extremely quiet at night, which was a bit freaky. The room itself is super spacious, clean and comfortable. Upon returning from dinner, the bed (futon) was already set up.
I've upgraded my meal plan to the Japanese meal by e-mail them, and I was a bit unhappy that when I got to the restaurant, although they did book me in, but they did not prepare for the course which I have e-mailed them for, and they couldn't change it. However, the restaurant staff was very nice, knowing that I really wanted to try to Fukushima beef, they offered me a complimentary plate. (Though I had to say the whole meal didn't taste that great from a personal view)
There's also a huge public bath/onsen (hot spring) inside the hotel, which was really really nice. It's got both indoor and outdoor.
Note: The hotel is kind of in the middle of no where, and public transport is quite weak. Highly recommend you to make sure to catch the hotel shuttle on time to/from the Inowashiro station, I've missed mine, had to end up paying 770yen one way bus to the closest bus stop, and walked 1.5 hours to the hotel (Which wasn't too bad, because it's the Goshiki Numa trail).
Other that the incident with the meal booking, I'm quite please with this hotel.
