Shameful Display of Discrimination
We use LaQuinta for some of our business clients. The last reservation was for 5 rooms. Corporate should be embarassed on how we were treated. My clients were little people and were told they could not check in because the reservations were held in our company name, not individually. We've never had a problem with this before. You simply change the name to the person staying in the room. It's already 100% pd for. Nope, your staff told them that if we didn't change the names thru hotels.com to the correct person, they were going to cxl the rooms. I was not about to cxl and re-reserve at a different rate and possibly lose the rooms so, I had to personally drive there since my name was on the reservation. In the meantime, i was on the phone w/staff to try and fix over the phone and they hung up on me. They said the GM said i needed to email a copy of my license. i did. then they said, he decided that wasn't good enough and if I didn't show up, they were going to cancel 5 rooms When i got there, my clients informed me that they were told to stand outside til this was resolved. When i got there, I asked why there is such an issue, who hung up on me, where is the GM that changed his mind and if they had an issue with Little People being in their hotel. Discrimination is not cool. All of a sudden, 4 clerks were stumbling over themselves to appease us. Your staff obviously did not want my clients there and made it known to all who were in lobby. Absolutely shameful!
