The main thing here is location. The room is average and not many amenities but it is a ten minute walk to the Milano Duomo and galleria Emmanuel. The shower was uncomfortable but they cleaned every day and we had no problems.

We were so impressed with the location! We could walk to amazing restaurants and shops, the magnificent Duomo of Milan, and the train stations are short cab rides away from Velvet Grey. There's a bakery meters away - the croissants alone were worth the trip to Milan!

The place is perfect if you want to be in the city center. You can get almost anywhere from here. The metro is a very short walk, cabs on the corners and Uber. If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is not the place. There is a restaurant in the courtyard and high end shopping all around it. The hallways to the rooms are narrow but the balcony was great. The bed was comfortable and the staff was nice.

Wonderful stay at modern, prime location V-G Hotel. Great Air conditioning, elevator and best hotel shower ever. We stayed in room with the terrace and loved spending time enjoying the sun and the view while toasting our stay with excellent, Italian wine. Easy, safe 10 minute walk to Duomo area with lots of good restaurants. Public transportation (metro, above ground trolley, and buses) convenient and easy to navigate. Trolley to dinner in Navigli was great way to see the city outside the central area. Definitely will stay at V-G next visit to Milan.

The team at Velvet Grey was lovely, but the everyone should be aware that this is not a proper hotel. It felt like sleeping in a doctors office as the property is located on the 3rd and 4th floor of an office building. There is no lobby, restaurant, or concierge after 11:30 PM. There is no overnight security and no deadbolts on the doors. You can hear everything in the adjacent rooms so there is very minimal privacy.

Adequate but not what we expected.
We got the terrace suite based on the pictures and several reviews. I must say, the photographer was very talented and must have had an amazing lens. The photos made it look spacious and nicely lit. The actual room was more like a college dorm room than a “suite”. Having said that, it was clean and safe. But the “suite” was definitely what we expected.

Massively overpriced even for the location. £367 per night in mid September. Small room. Bathroom poor, shower cubicle leaked all over the bathroom floor and shower head needed replacing. No hotel facilities or breakfast provision. They are even tight with the nespresso capsules in the room. One per person per day. No free water, you had to pay €1.50 a bottle. They could do it so much better. Will not be returning.

Overrated
Hard to find. Quite a few steps before elevator. Not a friendly welcome. Due to a storm the power went out during the night. It didn’t return before I left and so neither did hot water, WiFi or AC. There was nobody at reception at all. This is not a hotel but rather a few of the top floors of an old building made into rooms. Designer style but overpriced IMO

Not a Quad!
This was a cute 2-level room in the heart of the Fashion District. It even had two bathrooms and a private little outdoor terrace. However, we booked this hotel because it stated it was good for 4 adults. It was not! It had a large bed for two on the lower level and stairs that led to a small bed on top which was only good for 1 person. When I brought this to the attention of the receptionist, she brought up an inflatable mattress. The first night, the mattress deflated so my daughter basically slept on the hard floor. A different air mattress was brought up the next day but the air mattress was definitely what we expected in a "Quadruple" room.
