Weather was amazing people were nice but the room had underwear and chocolate sauce under the bed from the previous guests. Our room was right by the stairs so you can hear everyone coming and going no matter what time.

One of our rooms had a tv that didn’t work. Nothing was done about it. Our other room had a pool of brood on the bathroom counter top. That was a bit off putting. No compensation or even acknowledgement in regard to inconvenience.

The hotel was built in the 1800, no elevator so we had to walk four flight of stairs. With our luggage, had a great view of the bay.

Cute rooms. I like the vintage charm of the hotel. That means smaller showers at least in my room but was clean and well air conditioned. Appreciate they let us leave our bags behind the desk until our ferry depature.

The image in the picture showing the amazing view is the room we stayed in. There are only 3 or 4 rooms with the amazing ocean view and if your not in one of these rooms you could be looking at a wall. We had a wakeup when we discovered that this room is on the 4th floor and no elevator or bell person. You have to carry your luggage up and down yourself. Not the most pleasant so my rating is low for that. However, the view was spectacular. also reduced my score because not only was the hook on the back of the bathroom door falling off but when I asked to have it fixed it was not fixed. We are not young so the stairs were a bit of an issue.

This property was lovely, conveniently located, and the front desk crew were very friendly. We arrived before our room was ready and they had a big area where we could store our luggage while we continued to explore the island. Then when we checked out on the day of our departure, they let us store our luggage there until we needed to pick it up for our ferry later that afternoon. The room was comfortable and clean and recently renovated. We booked the family room because it has a bunk bed for my two kids which they loved. My only complaint is that the "family room" doesn't have a bath tub. In fact it doesn't even have a door on the shower, so of course the kids made a big puddle in the bathroom outside the shower. Other than that, this hotel was great and I highly recommend it.

Plus: View was nice. Negative: They charge you before you check-in, which wasnt made clear when booking. (I wanted to provide a different card when i physically checked in.) Being that you are on Catalina Island, and many places don't have elevators...we were on the fourth floor and it took a lot for us to get our luggage to and from our room. Plus...having to repeatedly go up and down several flights of stairs was challenging for my wife. Additionally, the bed although big...was super hard. Might as well been sleeping on the floor. The feet of the bed frame extended far out from the bed, and proved to be a trip hazard. The cable signal to the room was regularly disrupted and the cable box needed to be reset. Many of the wall outlets were either loose or broken.
