Troubled Stay
The staff was outstanding and extremely helpful. We en countered several room issues and they helped us every time. Not many options for breakfast. After changing rooms the room we had was clean and comfortable. The place could use some maintenance so we wouldn’t have the issues we had to deal with. Again, the staff was truly outstanding.

Clean and comfortable rooms. Check in was quick and easy. The rooms were great, clean, with a fridge, and microwave. They have a heated indoor pool that was open til 11! We had a lot of fun. Breakfast was mostly carbs with no protein or fruit options. I would stay again if I’m in town, thank you.

Good place for the night
Good proximity to the Petrified forest which we were visiting Simple room in a fairly quite area with comfortable bed Being someone who can't walk well and doesn't like heights I wasn't thrilled that it was outside stone steps to the second floor, no elevator but the stairs were sturdy The only notable thing was a musty smell in the bathroom It looked clean though

I spent 9 days in Holbrook at HoJo. Staff was awesome. Nice, spacious room with fridge and microwave made making meals easier. Local restaurants were great. Didn't have a bad meal out. Look forward to our next stay.

Strange Person Knocking on Door
About an hour before checkout, there was a knock at our hotel room door. When I opened it, a man standing there apologized. Then an hour later he knocked again, he was wearing shorts, a t-shirt, and a cap — no hotel uniform or name tag. He asked, "Are you guys staying another day?" Caught off guard, I replied, "Who are you, and why are you asking?" He didn’t introduce himself or explain that he worked for the hotel. His appearance and lack of professionalism made the whole situation confusing and uncomfortable. It wasn’t until I saw another hotel staff member (maybe the owner) in the parking lot that I realized he might have been an employee. The hotel really needs to ensure that all staff members wear proper uniforms, name tags, and are trained to introduce themselves professionally. It would help guests feel more secure and avoid awkward encounters like this one — especially when people are busy packing up and preparing to check out.
