We enjoyed our stay here. The facility is a little older as is the decor and the bathroom was small. However, the staff was very welcoming and the baths were just what we needed after sightseeing in Osaka and Kyoto. Our stay was very comfortable and we loved the area!

Hidden gem by Yamanaka ko!
My recent stay at this hotel was nothing short of exceptional. The hospitality was wonderful, and the facilities were impeccably clean. The friendly and welcoming owners made our experience incredibly memorable. One of the highlights was the private onsen, which allowed for a truly relaxing bath without the presence of other guests by simply locking the door—an absolutely heavenly experience.

The husband and wife team are fantastic, taking personal care like a friend, after knowing we are going to check out without our paid breakfast, the wife immediately offer us a bottle of local wine, and insisted we must keep it. Of cource the services they provided are top notch too. Thank you.

Highly recommended. We have travelled widely around the world but this hotel will remain in our memories. The owners were extremely pleasant, kind and helpful. They went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable during our stay .The property was very clean and warm, it also has wonderful views of Mount Fuji on a clear day. The private onsens (hot baths) were delightful at the end of a busy day exploring. The area is very quiet, away from all the touristic crowds but only 9 miles from Kawaguchiko lake and Chureito Pagoda. The breakfast and dinner in Japanese style were fantastic. We also had free use of some bikes so we could cycle around the whole lake and there were plenty of Manga comics to read.

This was a wonderful place to stay. The hosts were always cheerful, talkative, welcoming, friendly and very accommodating. The room was clean and spacious with a fabulous view of Mt Fuji. Extra activities included in the stay were fantastic, table tennis and bike riding around the lake. Our cooked Japanese breakfast was delicious! We wish we had stayed for at least 2 nights. Highly recommend staying in this lovely location with two fabulous hosts.

Awesome hot tubs, great service, delicious food.
My family spent two relaxing nights and really enjoyed everything. We have two children, ages 9 and 11, and they had a great time playing ping pong and reading in the extensive manga library. The host was very kind and made sure we had everything we needed. We had breakfast one morning which was delicious. Be sure to make reservations for breakfast and dinner. All of the hot baths were enjoyed and everything was clean. We used the bicycles which were great fun. We hope to return in the future.

Ms Lilly and her husband made our stay such a welcome experience. They warmly greeted us at every occasion, provided a lovely breakfast and dinner, and offered many ways to make our stay pleasant. Thank you so much for your hospitality and kindness. If we are fortunate enough to travel to this beautiful city in Japan again, we will certainly return!

Private Onsen!
Great place for couples as you have private onsens to use. There are 3 altogether, and we had a great time bathing at the private onsens.
The couple running the place also was great and really recommend getting the 500yen breakfast when you are staying there. Food is great and well prepared.
The lake near the hotel is beautiful.

My wife and I stayed here for two days while exploring the area andount Fuji. Firstly the area is beautiful around the lake, the property is a 3-5 min walk to the water front pathway which is a paved trail way with moss growing all around, very picturesque.
The hosts are unbelievably kind and welcoming. While we did not speak any Japanese they were so nice and used a translation app to walk us through everything. They insisted on helping drive us to the bus stop and restaurant. Very kind.
The property has a really cute ping-pong game room that is all wood with 270 degree windows which is so nice to enjoy a coffee or some table tennis. The dinning Hall and book corners are cute and cosy. One HUGE benefit that is not clear on the English translation is that the property has 2-5 private Onsen that you can use for your self and group exclusively. This way great for my wife and I to relax our legs after trekking around Fuji, private and relaxing for us.
For the rooms, they are exactly as shown no surprises. It's a bit of a traditional BNB style but everything was very clean and fresh towels/ service each day.

I/We found this hotel has an ideal base for my quest to climb Mount Fuji which I did successfully on the 7th of July 2023.
It was very pleasant to stay at this hotel. The owners are very welcoming and will do their very best to cater for your needs. Such as providing an English breakfast; which was better than an English breakfast in England (photo). They went so-far as to bake excellent English bread. I did enjoy the Japanese Mackerel breakfast too.
The owners are very friendly and have a good sense of humour, and it as from using the translator an animated ourselves to be understood.
We played table tennis and use the available bicycles to ride down to the lakeside. The mountain view (to the left) from the room is in fact Fuji. The room was a good size for our needs, comfortable and clean.
The hot springs are a natural luxury which we would have used more but my legs were sunburnt from my climb up Mount Fuji.
Parking was easy and convenient to unload our luggage.
I/we would definitely stay again as it would be our first choice in that area.
A thank you to the owners ( Mr & Mrs(Lily?)).

Great location, amazing baths, and the most-friendly hosts. They even went out of their way to provide food, with no prior reservation and dropped us off to the bus station. What a great property and hosts. We will come back.

Total Relaxation
I can’t express enough how wonderful this place was to stay in. The owners were wonderful! Very pleasant to talk to. Even though I didn’t speak the language, we had great conversations with Google Translate. The meals were fantastic. Having a private spa, both indoor and outdoor were amazing. In the area was a wonderful path to walk along the lake. For a 2 day stay, I was lucky enough to at least have one day with perfect weather, and was treated to breathtaking views of Mt. Fuji. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting a relaxing stay.

An excellent hotel lodge for visiting Mount Fuji area with a car. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the room facilities, though not modern, are adequate for a few days' stay. The hotel even has several hotspring baths that can be used privately among the guests, superb for a couple or a family and a must-try for anyone staying. It is managed by a couple, and they go out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. They even prepare English/American breakfasts for guests who are not yet used to the Japanese ones. It is located right next to the south shore of Lake Yamanaka, a perfect place for taking photos of sunset Mount Fuji.
