This is a lively BASIC hotel I’ve stayed at for over 40 years. It is not luxurious but neither is it on the order of a youth hostel. It is clean, safe, quiet, and for those wanting the action of the center of town, close to many touristy spots as well as the various plazas and parks featuring presentations of Merida’s culture;dancing, music, etc. A short walk to Paseo de Montejo, a broad lovely avenue with eateries, horse-drawn carriages, etc. Great staff who are helpful in resolving whatever issue you might have. And the price is more than right.

I have stayed here multiple times. The reception staff is always friendly and helpful. Same with the cleaning staff. The pool area has improved and looks great with a coat of paint. This is not a luxury hotel and the price reflects that. But it is clean, quiet, safe, and in a great area near the colonial center of Merida, a few blocks walk to Paseo de Montejo, 1/2 block from a busier street where one can find taxis. Restaurants abound and across the street is Parque Santa Lucia with evening ambiance, restaurants, and Thursday night music performances. I will definitely stay again if I’m Mérida.

Economical for the location. The hotel is in the heart of the tourism. Our room was very clean. Unfortunately we didn't get to enjoy the pool. It was raining everyday. But the pool looked clean and welcoming. The hotel is walking distance to Paseo de Montejo, Centro and Mercado Lucas de Galvez. The staff was very friendly and helpful at all times. Overall, I rate it 5 stars.

Lovely area, so close to the park and lovely restaurants. Nice pool. Friendly staff. No elevator, definitely not easy for anyone with physical difficulties. We stayed on the 3rd floor for 2 nights and then were ableto.move to a room on the ground floor. Lots of hot water and pressure, good , air conditioning good.
