Gena greeted us the moment we walked through the doors to the beautiful lobby, she was so amazing! Brought us extra pillows right to our door and gave us good advice on how to get places and where to go. Thank gosh for you Gena! Our room was awesome, and so clean I took a bath with no second thought. We will definitely be back! Also the ice castles are 3 minutes down the road.

Gold Nugget was good but doesn't have recycle...
We had a great time in Cripple Creek! The hotel was priced well, comfortable and clean. The room was small but big enough. The only real drawback is that there seemed to be no effort to recycle. Everything went in the trash and when I asked a staff member if there was a recycle big she said nope! Come on now!

Overall the hotel/room was okay. Except for the shower. The shower curtain was dirty and stained. There was hair in the shower on the walls. And there was NO shampoo, conditioner or body wash. All three refillable bottles in the shower were empty!

When we checked in they couldn't find my reservation that i made weeks in advance. Once they found it they told me they checked someone else in under my reservation so they had to fix it. I reserved a king bed room and they gave me a diffrent room with a queen so was a little frustrated that my room was given to someone else.

Nice hotel needs different parking arrangement.
It was a nice and clean hotel and the bed was very comfortable. The Golden Nugget hotel did not have any parking at the hotel but you could park in the Casino parking garage that kept the fierce wind and cold off of your car for free but you had to walk over to the casino once you parked your car to get you car. Kind of silly but the hotel was built after the casino. No underground or overpass to keep you out of the elements. Kind of silly but we just happened to be there on a very bad weather day.

The checkin was fast and easy. The room seem to be clean. I did find a few hairs in the shower tub. The toilet was dirty, it had pee stains. Tried uploading photos but even though app says to upload it didn't let me.

This hotel is across the street from the casino.. it just doesn't feel like a nice casino hotel . It felt more like a motel 6. Which are awesome..it just was lacking excitement & casino vibes...When we arrived it just felt very "sad" we weren't greeted. The lady with the long lashes couldn't suggest any food places, when another guest asked she didnt explain.. this is the way to your room ..I had asked about if the hotel uses comps from the casino she didnt know so, this is why im stating no casino vibes or knowledge ( or may been just a bad day for her) who knows really. We stayed on the 3rd floor and down the hall to the left. As we approached our room we could hear when people are walking around or if they flush the toilet, if they get out of the bathtub. oh and youll definitely know if they're doing "something" next door..you can hear all of that. just fyi also, there are no food places open after 9pm unless u go down to a place that sells nachos and stuff 24 hours. down by the brass @ss ..there is only 1 ice maching on the 1st floor, no snack vending machines at all and the drinks machines are on every floor 3$ a drink. also, parking it uncovered and kinda far from the front door of the hotel ...its just For the amount of money we paid I think we expected more quality but ..i should have just stay at the newest hotel. It was only a few bucks difference. this place idk nothing super special or great about it really. pillows were soft, rooms were nice, tv worked.

Decent, but needs much improvement
We booked and prepaid for three rooms. We were told that the staff was behind and that we could check in between 3-3:30 pm. We went back at 3:30 and was told that our party was on two different floors, as we were assured was not the case previously, that we hadn’t indeed prepaid, and that our rooms, with the exception of 1, were still not ready. Note that we were watching people in front of us actively check in. After telling the gal that was helping us that the other front desk staff had assured us previously that we were on the same floor, she preceded to whisper to the other staff in our presence. The other staff, Dana, came over and informed us that we were on the same floor, as the other girl was trying to check in a member not of our party. Still, we only had one room ready. We were told that we were a priority and all packed into one room to wait for a text letting us know that our other rooms were ready. The other rooms weren’t ready until just before 5:00 pm. Also, we needed another pillow, we had 3 for a king, and I was told to come down and get it myself. When the rest of our party received their room keys, the first girl that helped us told them, “apparently I’m not qualified.” We finally got all checked in and enjoyed the casino and restaurant. After coming back, we attempted to watch tv, but it kept freezing up, which made that impossible. Another of our guests had a leak in their bathroom and the tv was completely without service the day of checkout. Too bad!
