We absolutely loved this hotel. The cafe in the hotel was fantastic. The restaurant was great! The service was top notch and we actually stayed an extra night. We loved it there is a great big fireplace in the lobby with big comfy chairs to work. I highly recommend.

6/10 Good

It was ‘meh’.
It was neither good nor bad. The hipster decor was a cool touch but the two year old tap dancing with Dutch clogs the floor above us sucked. The hotel was within walking distance to several good restaurants and a nice coffee shop just off the lobby. However, we are accustomed to having a fresh change of linens and towels and cleaning each day. It didn’t happen. Oh!! And the bed was horrible. Wrecked my back. Besides that it was a good time.

Maxwell Anderson rules!
It’s the best hotel in Glenwood by far! I would recommend it to anyone coming through town.

2/10 Poor

Room not as described
Paid extra for a “historic view,” that turned out to be a prison sized window looking out into a parking lot. Room was INCREDIBLY small and not even close to what was outlined in the description. Room wasn’t even in the actual hotel, had to walk around the corner to get to it.

Break from Politics
We wanted a break from all the political information bombarding us. Glenwood Springs and the Hotel Maxwell Anderson hotel provided a wonderful place to do just that.

Great place to stay despite.........
My only issue with the place was the cleanliness of the shower/bathroom floor. Black and white tile with black grout makes it hard to tell that mildew is there but it was. I told the young lady at the desk so she could send them to clean it again but they did not clean it properly. Hopefully it was just in our room. I would still return and still recommend staying there.

No water
They were out of water and vending machines were sold out. I found that annoying.

Loved this place!
Such a cute place! The layout of the hotel was amazing for the four of us. Bunk beds were full size and my daughters loved that! Also, there is a restaurant connected to the hotel so no need to drive more after arriving to grab house made root beer and a bison burger! Clean hotel, staff was friendly and lots of shops within walking distance. Views were outstanding as well!
Root beer float
Outside and across the street from the hotel. Kids wanted to play in snow.

Decent but differant then Denver Hotel
Over all decent and would stay again! My fiest stay since the name/ ownership change. I thought it was funny at check in i was asked if i wanted 1 bed or 2, so i said if i can choose, 2, she said of course I'll upgrade you for free! Yay! I love that..... But i got to our room and it was a single bed, no upgrade, exact one as pictured ;) no biggie just kinda a yay then ohhhhh.... Parking is $20 per day so for a single night that's $40!!! That would be good to know ahead. I stayed 2 nights so i had $60 just to park my car. Really with $20 a day to park, $35 per day fire the pool, and no breakfast.... the $ i thouht i was saving nonstayingb at the hot springs lodge.... i way more then spent. Attached restraunt is fantastic for beer and food! No room service but you can get to go did and drinks for your room if you prefer! Pool passes / discounts are great, get those at the hotel! They say to take your towels from your room or stop by the desk for some complementary towels..... well the room only has 2 towels, so that's not even enough for 2 to shower, as i have long hair and need a hair towel and body towel, then they are wet.... so taking them to the pool is a no..... The front desk seemed quite put out when i got pool passes and asked for towels, though they did get me some. When it was Denver Hotel they had pool bags ready with 2 towels per guest, unlimited exchange, i suggest you bring that back!
