I'd love to give this property a much higher rating, but it has one major problem: it's 100 yards from the I-10 freeway! The breakfast was also "so-so". Otherwise, the room was very nice and in great condition. The staff was very helpful, and lots of stuff around for dining, etc. So, Good place to staff if you are OK with "road noise". Dinner suggestion, pickup a pizza at nearby "Pizza Artista" (Best $15.00 pizza!).

Always Dependable .
When traveling we have a couple of preferred chains that we use, and we do so because the results are usually predictable. Home 2 Suites is one of those. We can almost always depend on a clean comfortable room, helpful representatives of the chain, a well-kept property in decent neighborhoods and a good value for the money we spend. This time was no exception. No fault of the hotel, but our two-night stay was cut short due to the airline having issues. But the hotel was great about communicating with us, and seeming genuinely concerned with our situation.

Deodorizer was overwhelming
The deodorizers, air fresheners, or cleaning products were so strong, the chemical rosy smells caused our eyes to burn, and coughing. Left with our lungs feeling irritated. When passing through the lobby we walked fast to get out to the fresh air. I spoke with the hotel, and recommended they bring it down a few notches. It was a clean and nicely kept hotel, with great staff.

Quick stop in Baton Rouge.
The room was fantastic, very spacious and comfortable. We had two issues. Firstly there was only 2 pillows on the bed and we had to go to reception to collect the forth. Secondly, after breakfast our room keys no longer worked. I went to reception and was issued a replacement set. These didn't work and I had to return to reception a second time. I was informed that at check-in our room assignment was changed, but not correctly in the system. A third set of keys was issued. These worked. This whole process cost us 30 minutes and delayed out departure.
