Very nice little hotel
I stayed one night in the ground level carriage house suite. The room and grounds were very nice. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. I enjoyed the location and proximity to restaurants and shopping. It would have been nice to have a mini fridge in the room to keep drinks cold. Also would have liked to have a desk chair. I would stay here again the next time I’m in Kansas City.

BEAUTIFUL AND AMAZINGLY COMFORTABLE!!!!
This was the most incredible stay! Beautiful and so comfortable. Probably the best sleep I’ve had this year. Can’t wait to return the next time I’m in Kansas City.

The Truitt was simple and sweet. Great for a couple days away with my partner. It’s an old place with lots of character and beautifully decorated. The staff was very kind and helpful. The contactless check-in & out was very convenient! The only thing that wasn’t great was the wifi. There were a couple connection options and neither could really power a work day. The smart TV worked great though so watching Netflix in the evening was nice. All and all The Truitt is a nice place to stay for a couple nights! Thanks for your hospitality!

Great location.
We stayed for 2 nights. The hotel is totally contactless (and paperless) so we never met the owners. Good recommendations for food in the area. Very walkable neighborhood and very close to the Nelson-Atkins Museum and the Kemper Museum. Very quiet place.

Worth it.
The Truitt is described as a "luxury" hotel. Luxury is right. So is beauty, so is comfort, so is warmth, so is service. My husband and I were looking for something for a one night stay whilst passing through KC that was proximate to the wonderful art museum there...and we couldn't have landed in a better location. The renovation on the property is impeccably, artfully done. Before our arrival we were notified by email/text, giving us all of the info we needed for a seamless, contact free check in. Upon on our arrival, we were greeted by one of the property hosts who gave us a tour of the facility and offered the most fabulous recommendations for delicious places to eat while in town. As we settled into our truly impressive room, we found gourmet chocolates, plush beds and a number of comforting "extras" to make our stay supremely cozy. In the morning, we enjoyed coffee from the self-serve coffee bar on the gorgeous back patio, refreshed and ready for a morning touring the galleries. Check out was a breeze. Kind thanks to the gracious folks who run the Truitt, we look forward to seeing you again.

Communication was Great! Parking was tight. The property and room was beautiful. Husband needed a bandaid late at night out of our first aid kit from our car and security wasn’t really friendly but overall it was Very Nice.

Amazing place to stay. So much to do around the area. We stayed in one of the King Suites on the back side of the building, and it was a great experience. I was surprised how quiet it was. The rooms curtains make it very dark, which was a plus. There were a ton of places to eat within a 5 minute drive, and the art museum was a quick walk from the hotel.

This hotel was exceptional in every way. It embodies quiet luxury and offers a calm and relaxed atmosphere. It’s clear that each room was carefully furnished and intentionally decorated with elegance and comfort in mind. The booking site was having technical difficulties before check in, and the owner of the Truitt reached out to make sure I had the information I needed. He even asked if we needed restaurant recommendations. The entire stay was a lovely experience, and I’ll definitely book here again.
