We would like to thank all the staff at the Portofino Resort for giving us such a lovely vacation. We were so surprised to receive such warm attention, from the birthday cake made from towels on our bed when we arrived to the complimentary birthday cake we received at dinner. We will always remember how kind and friendly the people at Portofino Resort and Belize are.

Fabulous Resort
The resort had a really peaceful feel. It far exceeded our expectations for the write up from the travel books. The food was exceptional at the restaurant and reasonably priced. It was very nice having all the water activities, such as fishing and diving and snorkeling right on the resort pier. The pool was very beautiful and the setting superior with all the wonderful palm trees and beach. The sunflower room was exceptional. Would highly recommend this resort to anybody looking to have a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

My daughter and I stayed at the Portofino for one week. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The resort offers full service from beautiful food options, in-house massage and guided tours leaving directly from the properties boat ramp. Downtown can be reached via golf cart in about 25 min. Definitely will return.

The rooms are really nice. The pool was amazing. The staff was incredible. Everyone was so nice and helpful. The food at the restaurant was good every time we ate there. Being able to book our tours through Action Divers Adventures available right there at the resort made things so much easier. Roberto was awesome to work with and Chocolate was the best Divemaster you could ask for! They have their own dock so you can do some tours and you can dive right from the resort. It is a ways out from town. To get there you would need to rent a golf cart and it is a rather bumpy ride. The only thing I can think of that could have been improved was the main part of our room did not have a lot of lighting. It would have been nice if it had been brighter especially for at night. During the day you can open the front curtains for light. Overall our stay was awesome.

Awesome property, mediocre food
The look of the property is awesome. The pool is super nice, the rooms are really cute and the staff is so lovely. We stayed in a double room and loved it. After a big rain storm we had a leak and they moved us to The Mansion. I actually liked the double room way more. The beds were nicer there and we didn't need a kitchen. My only real knock is the restaurant. The food isn't great, the prices are high and the menu never changes at all. I think they are seriously missing a profit center here. If they made better food, better portions and changed it up, we would have eaten way more on site. Instead we rented a cart and left as much as possible. The location is about 20-minutes from the closest restaurant and 40-minutes from town.

Spent my birthday at Portofino. The staff is wonderful and thoughtful. The food at the restaurant is amazing, my husband ordered the special every night. There was seagrass on the beach, but the pool is great, with outstanding sea views. Our room was clean and spacious. We both got massages, which were very good. We had an awesome time.
