Hotel is nice in a good location but internal noise is very loud for example people walking in rooms above, noise from adjoining rooms and even noise from kitchen. Additional pillows would improve comfort and toiletries such as hair conditioner and moisturiser would be nice.

Good hotel when cycling on the Rhine path
Nice hotel located on a square. Had a good dinner at the hotel and breakfast was good too. We were cycling up the Rhine. The hotel is near the path and easy to find. Good bike garage with charging for e-bikes. Recommended

superb location in the heart of schaffhausen. we were a group.of ten on a cycle holiday and had a support van with us which we were able to park right outside (early july) Everything in Schaffhausen is expensive and the hotel restaurant is no exception but the food and service were excellent.

Great location, walkable from the train station, in the middle of town. Room was nicely furnished but there’s no A/C (like most older hotels in Europe). There was a fan in the room, provided by the hotel so that helped. Breakfast included. Would stay there again.

The hotel is less than a 4 minute walk from the train station. The old town area around the hotel has lots of shopping and dining options. The facility is very well maintained and neat. The hotel restaurant was surprisingly reasonable and the food was very good. Our only complaint is the noise. The church bells were rather loud and with the windows open we could hear crowd noise below late into the evening. Thank you for the ear plugs. We would definitely stay there again.

The hotel was comfortable, but I was a bit concerned when we walked in and saw earplugs on the nightstands. We were right next to a church, so the clock did chime during reasonable hours. There was a busy restaurant on the first floor with outdoor dining. In the evenings, this area could be a bit noisy. They did accommodate us and extend our checkout by an hour so we could visit the Rhinefall.

Love this property. Friendly staff. Every one. Don’t want to leave out the front desk who helped with directions and language barrier. Restaurant staff was also helpful with food suggestions and very good food. Also the breakfast staff help with accommodating my allergies!! But what’s even better… is at the beginning off our travels. I picked up a cold. Which was easy a few weeks ago. This place has the best sauna and steam room. It has cleared up the cold! Thank you so much.

Convenient but Noisy
The location has its good and bad. It is located in the center of the city. That means it is very convenient. However, it is located next to the St. Johann Reformed Church. You will hear the clock rings every hour (until 10 or 11pm). You will hear noise (people partying and talking during mid-night). There is no AC, when you shut the windows, you may feel very hot at night.
